  1. I would love if he tried to throw a coup to see who would be left to defend him. Who is going to be on the other side with a pitchfork, Kushner? I made a mask out of a bandana and wore it once to Home Depot. I didn’t think I needed to wash it after one use for a short amount of time. I figured it would make a difference in washing it if I went to Aldi and Mariano’s on my usual grocery trip though.
  2. If you look at the common phrases he uses in his press conference, you’re right, it is the same message and playbook over and over again.
  3. Agreed, I’m in favor of adding the public option and keeping employer based insurance primarily because of union negotiated benefits and because of the the number of people Medicare for All would put out of work.
  4. Not for some time, I’ll still keep my distance and go out whenever necessary. It depends on what developments occur with a vaccine, new cases and a second wave. It’s going to take a gradual return to any normal with the public feeling okay about things.
  5. This is also interesting, Navarro name dropped Dr. William Grace and Dr. Mitch Katz on CNN today. Grace was on Fox News with Laura Ingraham and Katz did a limited trial on the drug in question that only had a mild impact on symptoms. Links below, I call BS on Navarro’s claims and support Fauci who actually has medical training and is a doctor! https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2020/04/06/us/politics/coronavirus-trump-malaria-drug.amp.html https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.foxnews.com/media/malaria-drugs-touted-by-trump-can-work-against-coronavirus-top-doc-tells-laura-ingraham.amp
  6. Why in the hell can’t Trump just answer reporter’s questions without being a complete toddler? Well researched questions are not fake news and reporters asking them are not bad reporters.
  7. I think Biden brings us towards the middle, although he has to appease the far left with policies like the college tuition for families of a certain income. But it doesn’t have to be a Democrat to get my vote for any office, it can be a moderate republican like Kasich or Rauner who could as well.
  8. I agree with you but I put the phrases as far left and far right and moderates, regardless of party, are the middle.
  9. Exactly, along with any far left or far right partisan points or attacks.
  10. The same way we have lived the last few years. Criticizing and trolling his stupid ass when he does or says something stupid. Praising him when he does something good, which is rare (at least for me).
  11. I wonder how this call went and what Biden had to say to our current employee. https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/06/politics/biden-trump-call/index.html
  12. Trump is touting experimental drugs for COVID-19, saying they're 'not going to hurt' people. But the drugs have severe side effects, and misuse has led to poisoning and even death Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who is a member of Trump's White House coronavirus task force, told CBS' "Face the Nation" earlier Sunday that evidence of the drug's effectiveness against COVID-19 was anecdotal. "In terms of science, I don't think we could definitively say it works," he said. Let’s see if Dr. Fauci is at the press briefings this week. Hopefully someone in Trump’s circle or in his investments doesn’t create a vaccine and instead scientists at an agency or other company do so.
  13. My parents watch Mass on TV on Sunday morning and then also watch my cousin’s Lutheran service for his sermon in their pool in Florida. To that idiot in the CNN clip, there is absolutely no reason to leave your home to attend services, if you want to see your friends do a video chat or watch the service online. Don’t be an ignorant moron and risk getting others sick!
  14. You said there were no freaking sports to discuss. That’s just not true. Live action sure, but there’s still news to discuss. I was giving you examples of what they discussed is all. I listened to the Bernstein and McKnight show for a while and did not hear anything about Trump, I heard more during the Bernstein and Goff show, which ended in early 2018.
  15. What do you think about this legislation that Caufield just referenced? Is this enough of a compromise, with some technological security at the border? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Border_Security,_Economic_Opportunity,_and_Immigration_Modernization_Act_of_2013
  16. Why? Because there’s actually some debate and some discussion that needs to be had? There’s a lot of good material here to read, I don’t know what makes it “unreadable.”
  17. The Bears press conference. Farmer’s death. The Bulls executive search. How sports seasons will look if things get going again. I can count on my hands how many times I have heard politics from 670 the Score the last few years, it isn’t often. DeCastro absolutely neutered that station and it is mostly sports talk. I would need to have specific examples to understand what you mean and not just general statements about how “liberal” the hosts are or examples from when Goff was on the air.
  18. There’s nothing wrong with what Bernstein said or did with all that went on after his show on Thursday. His show is operating on bare bones and his friend’s paychecks and talented former coworkers took a hit.
  19. Game, set and match. When it comes down to it, this is what is at stake, not getting down on your knees and showing our leader that you love him to get resources. We also deserve more transparency from our government and not soundbites from his son in law that the leader gets upset about when reporters press him about. The standards of our presidency and decency have been lowered since 2016, why should anyone kiss his ring when those that try to hold him accountable get bullied?
  20. Why? Because he handles idiots that call in well and completely picks apart their arguments? Bernstein is one of the only reasons I listen now since I actually feel smarter as a sports fan after hearing him talk, whereas the afternoon crew loses me when they talk about gambling.
  21. It was still what I needed to hear when Entercom ripped through the livelihoods of many. I was glad that Dan spoke the way he did, with emotion and strength. It’s truly a cruel working world sometimes and sports radio isn’t immune. I’d speak the same way when my partner and producer got canned and those making over $50,000 were severely neutered with their salary and 401(k) matches.
  22. Not just global warming crises, but automation crises as well.
  23. She does have a point with some women leaving or being let go though.
  24. Camp did a lot for the station so I was surprised that he got let go, just like McKnight. But they can do the work they need with one host and one producer, I guess. I wonder if they will bring either Campy or Connor back. Bernstein survives another round! Suck it trolls and haters!
  25. He appears to be as an occasional commentator and fill in host.
