  1. Hoping the Bears can find a way to land both Jayden Daniels and Harrison Junior this Spring. The Bears D keeps getting better and better, but you have to score points to win a Super Bowl.
  2. They can't really pull another tank job though with the new drafting setup. A half decade of losing 100 plus games like Hoston did a decade ago is no longer an option. It's back to the rebuilding on the fly days of 2008-2015. The more things change the more they stay the same if you are a Sox fan.
  3. Trying to catch lighting in a bottle with washed up veterans seems like the only way forward with this franchise. They don't really have any internal options to play second base at the big league level. Cant put Lenyn Sosa there every day as he looked like a fish totally out of water during his time in the show.
  4. Agree. If you are moving Cease and punting 2024 and 2025 it doesn't make much sense to keep Robert around much longer. This organization is in such bad shape with its farm system and has an owner who refuses to sign any premiere free agents. How in the world are they planning to compete during the remainder of La Panteras contract? It's going to take an absolute miracle like Noah Schutlz turning into Randy Johnson and that Oder kid they got from Miami turning into Tom Glavine.
  5. So is there a Bryce harper, Ken Griffey Junior, or Adley Ruschtman in this draft class? It would be so White Sox to finally get the number 1 pick and end up with a Mickey Moniak or Brady Aiken.
  6. Robert is going to get traded eventually. It won't be this offseason but next offseason or trade deadline of 2025 are very real possibilties. The Sox have almost zero chance of being competitive during the remainder of his contract so it makes little sense to keep him on a tanking ballclub. Enjoy watching him roam center field on the South Side while you can cause he will be traded away soon enough.
  7. Disagree here. If the Bears nail the QB pick this offseason there is a very good chance they make the playoffs next year. What is going on down in Houston right now is evidence of that. Waiting around forver for a QB to develop like the Bears have done with Fields over the past 3 years is not the only way things can go down.
  8. It's a depressing joke for Bears fans once again. Bears get #1 pick. Decide to get cute and trade it away instead of taking CJ Stroud. The 2023 season is now close t0 75% done and it seems like the jury is still out on Fields. Enough is enough in my book. He isn't the guy and the Bears have to get a franchise quarterback this offseason somehow.
  9. Yep. Robert won't get moved this year but next offseason is a real possibility. Last year was the start of another dark age decade for White Sox baseball. This organization will not sniff the playoffs again for quite some time.
  10. This is the way. Jayden Daniels is gonna be a guy in the NFL. Will be thrilled beyond belief if the Bears can somehow get him and Harrison Junior come 2024. Jalen Hurts went #53 overall. Teams are gonna regret passing up on Daniels just like they are regretting passing up on Hurts.
  11. Keeping Fields around for another "development" year is totally off the table in my mind. The dude has had pleny of time to show that he is a franchise quarterback. The time is up on Fields.
  12. Stroud balled out again yesterday and almost took down Lawrence and the Jags. Dude is looking like a legit franchise quarterback. Both the Panthers and Bears screwed up big time by not taking him 1.1.
  13. Do the Bears take Caleb Williams or Harrison Junior if they end with the #1 pick? I think you gotta fire the whole coaching staff and front office this offseason if you are planning to take a QB with the Carolina pick.
  14. So did the Bears screw up massivelly by trading away the #1 pick and not drafting CJ Stroud? The dude looks like an absolute beast out there and is only going to get better as he gains more experience and gets better weapons around him. Its looking more and more like the Bears had a franchise QB there for the taking. Now they gotta hope Carolina continues to tank and hope that Caleb Williams is an actual guy.
  15. Did Poles and company screw up big time by trading away the #1 Pick? Cj Stroud was sitting there for the taking...
  16. and with the new rules, tanking and winning 50 games next year won't even guarantee the Sox a top 3 draft pick, correct?
  17. The trade isn't about this season it seems. However, the dude was going to hit free agency in a fewm short months. I hear what you are saying. Could have kept the second rounder and just signed the dude in the offseason.
  18. This was a terrible trade the second it was made and it is getting worse and worse with each passing day. Jake Burger is a legit major league baseball player. Jake Eder is likely to be selling insurance in two or three years. Sox got played here big time.
  19. Sunday night is gonna be a big big test for Bagent and the Bears offense. The Chargers with Mack and Bosa are going to get much better pressure than the Raiders. The Chargers have been real good against the run this year as well. Wouldn't suprise me to see the Chargers blitz a ton and play man to man with jamming on the Bears receivers.
  20. Yep. Fields is in very real danger of getting Wally Pipped. If the Secret Bagent Man leads the Bears to victory out in LA against the Chargers, then I'm not sure how you can justify starting Fields again this year.
  21. Craig Kimbrel is out there pitching in high leverage situations and getting people out. The dude was so so bad for the White Sox. Crazy to see him turn it around.
  22. Ouch. Tampa Bay shut out at home in game 1. Tampa may have blown its wad back in April and May with that unbeliavable start. Their current lineup scares no one.
  23. The Sox won't compete next year but they will have a better record than this year. There will be absolutley no expectations or pressure next year. Hardly anyone in the media will even being attention. This is the kind of environment the majority of the organization and players fit in and recognize best. No expecations and no pressure next year won't equal a winning season but the Sox won't lose 100 plus games next year. Something like 68 and 94 sounds about right.
  24. Poles is looking more and more like the wrong guy as well unfortuntaely. 2023 was not supposed to be another tank year.
  25. I feel bad for anyone trying to make a living in the White Sox ticket sales office. Things are going to be very ugly at the gates next year. I'm sure advertisers are jumping ship as well. Not sure why any decent and respectable company would want to be associated with the White Sox right now.
