  1. In Lip’s State of the Sox article, there is a quote about the medical guy the Sox hired having been fired by the Red Sox for giving players toradol, which is an anti inflammatory used for pain. The primary side effect is dizziness.
  2. They already said that in their official statement: ““Major League Baseball and the Chicago White Sox take any and all allegations very seriously, and the White Sox are completely supportive of the Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Child Abuse policy shared by MLB and the MLBPA. MLB opened an investigation after learning of these allegations. The White Sox were not aware of the allegations or the investigation at the time of his signing. The White Sox will refrain from comment until MLB’s investigative process has reached its conclusion.”
  3. Your ability to extrapolate upon my simple comment and attribute that extrapolation to me is impressive
  4. I don’t think I’d be happy about the Sox losing even if I bet on them to, but then, I am an actual Sox fan
  5. They’re not going to do anything until mlb announces any disciplinary actions. They wouldn’t have to put him on administrative leave until the regular season begins, if it takes that long.
  6. My mistake he’s executive vice president. Can’t imagine why he might want to put Comiskey back in the name but I’m no CEO
  7. Not to mention the CEO of Wintrust is Bruce Comiskey.
  8. Or Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium
  9. GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium ring a bell?
  10. Maybe there was a gentleman’s agreement with that Diekman trade that they’d hook the sox up later for dumping Diekman on us? Trade doesn’t appear to make much sense on its own
  11. Thanks. I generally find your posts pointless, if we are rating each other
  12. Except they could have in fact won less games in those starts with worse pitching
  13. That’s still better than Alberto. You are comparing a 3.5 career war vs a 33.5 career war player who put up 3.5 war just last year. In his last 650 plate appearances Alberto walked 12 times and hit 7 homeruns, less than Andrus put up in that small sample size. I don’t see how having the defensive advantage works against Andrus here either
  14. This makes no sense. The Sox would still have those players if they re-signed Andrus, so taking them over Andrus isn’t a relevant consideration. The question is someone like Alberto over Andrus. Alberto is nowhere close to Andrus
  15. Wow what a quality thread
  16. Do you not understand the meaning of unsurprising or what?
  17. I’m holding out hope Hahn is hiding a trick up his sleeve and pulls off a trade to improve the major league roster. Foolish I know, but maybe a trade is more likely when teams have otherwise settled their rosters. Someone pointed out the plethora of 6th starter options the Padres have, maybe they would be more apt to unload one during spring training after they get a fresh look at them, for example
  18. Pitching is way too thin to take the over, particularly when our top two hitters are prone to go down for half a season. One of our starting pitchers and one of Eloy or Robert are injured this team could easily lose ninety plus games. If the four top starters pitch 30 games and those two play 140 games they could win some games but no way I’m taking that bet
  19. It’s so nice we have Leury tied up so we can let superior teams sign our castaways like Mendick and Harrison
