Working fine for me on Chrome desktop.

Billy bunt single, Haseley reach on error, and a Sosa bomb puts the Knights up 3-0 through 3. Stiever pitched 2 scoreless, Perez pitched the 3rd. Top Cleveland prospect Bo Naylor is starting at catcher on the other side.

Cease was topping out at like 95 in his last ST start. Came out and averaged 97+ in the opener. Clevinger also gained a couple mph from his last spring appearance. Kopech hit 95-96mph even in that last inning, it just wasn't consistent. So if this was effectively him "catching up" with the rest of the guys after a delayed ramp up, it's not wild to think his velo will increase/stabilize.

Oh no, I guess the Cleveland bullpen is also irredeemably bad now! Clase blows a 2 run save to the A's with 2 outs.

6ER in 1+ IP, someone better tell them a bad SP performance in game 5 ends the season. Not sure they can take Plesac out of the rotation until McKenzie is back. They already have Gaddis trying to fill in a spot.

Looks like a lot of wild scores around the league today. Are the balls different again? Or maybe it's just "first start for your 5th starter" day...

Johnny "I don't understand why Hahn didn't keep" Cueto followed up 11ER in 3.2IP in spring with a 3ER/2IP loss in his WBC start. Then he was briefly sidelined with an arm injury. Now 1+ IP into his first start, he's given up 4 runs on two HR in the relatively pitcher friendly LoanDepot Park and is being pulled from the game. Although he was great last year and is personally very likeable, I thought it was a perfectly rational decision at the time to not count on a repeat of last year from him.

So you're saying a one game sample size isn't determinative of player quality?

Eh, I think he's trying to figure out which relievers can go 4+ outs. Not a bad thing to use this game for, especially with an off day tomorrow.

Definitely willing to give him more than one start, tons of good starters got shelled opening week. It happens, and one game doesn't make a pattern...yet. Thankfully the rest of the rotation is looking pretty solid in the meantime.

I thought the game was moved up to dodge the rain? Edit: Nevermind, I guess it was just a poorly timed sprinkle.

I swear, every time Luis tries to take a close one, it gets called against him. Every time.

I might be wrong...but after a quick look at 2022 lineups, I think we've already surpassed in the opening series the number of games where all five of TA7, Eloy, Yaz, Yo, and Luis started in the entirety of last year. As far as I can tell, this happened exactly twice last year: on 8/4-5, games 105 and 106, vs Texas. And they were both with post-wrist injury Robert, and still not fully healthy Yaz/Yo. TA would suffer his hand injury in game 107, the last of the series. It might actually be impossible to overstate how much injury decimated this squad last year.

After four games against a formidable Astros hitting staff, the Chicago White Sox currently lead the majors in XBH.

Let's not forget the other clutch run-saving catch from our second Cuban outfielder, by the way!

I bookmarked it immediately for...reasons.

Good experience for Reylo to battle through that. Hopefully it helps him stay more composed in the future. Good on the boys playing good defense behind him, and securing crucial insurance runs vs. the Houston pen.

You know what? Maybe it's good to let him work through some 9th inning jitters here when he's got a buffer.

Up 5, feels like we could have saved Reylo maybe?
