QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ Jul 30, 2009 -> 11:32 PM)What about a Kidney stone?
That is the word coming out on Bobby now.
-
Kidney Stones is the word.
-
the Yanks struck out 14 times... and we still needed a walkoff win... LOL.
-
from MG's twitter...
Jenks "has some issues," according to Guillen but will be back Friday.
-
we have been talking about this in the game thread.
DJ and Farmer are reporting he was at the game, and left during the game due to sickness.
If they are lying... we are about to find out at the Ozzie post game presser.

The new Rally Crede...
You've been DWEEZY'd!

lol... at Cowley's twitter...
"Swish is probably digging himself so much right now he doesn't know what to do. Maybe he could put more gel in his faux hawk."
-
Oh wow... per Cowley and Gonzalez twitter...
Jenks is not at the park tonight... no explanation as to why.
-
honestly... its been a long time since the Sox have had a stretch hurt like this one.
We are who we thought we were.
-
Its gonna take 4 singles out of these guys to plate one.
-
Jenks never even got up to warm up.
Maybe we are going to trade him... Thornton obviously showed he can do the job.
-
does this move end up costing Juan Uribe his job in the big leagues?
-
Sell
But we are wasting our time evening hoping for it because KW's ego won't let him do it.
-
If Thornton is back... Colon is headed to the DL.
Richard is back in the rotation... and Williams is the second lefty out of the pen.
Man we need to make some moves.
I don't care if we buy or sell... I would prefer to sell...
but just don't keep what we have going on here.
-
not sure there is much going on here... probably just up for a day or two while Thornton is gone.
With the way the Sox work though... who knows.
White Sox Promote Randy Williams from AAA Charlotte
By Jason Gage
SoxNet
The White Sox have reportedly promoted LHP Randy Williams from AAA Charlotte. Williams will join Matt Thornton, who has returned to Minnesota after attending the birth of his child, as the lefties in the Sox pen. No official word on who Williams will replace on the White Sox roster but SoxNet is hearing that Bartolo Colon, who was scratched (elbow) from tonight's start will be placed on the 15 day disabled list, retroactive to July 24th.Williams, 33, has made 38 major league appearances (San Diego, Seattle, and Colorado) and posted a 6.68 ERA. In 33 games with the Charlotte Knights (AAA), Williams was 3-0 with a 3.44 ERA and limited opponents to a .220 batting average.
SN Take:
• With Colon scheduled to go back on the disabled list, Clayton Richard is expected to rejoin the rotation.
• Williams will give Ozzie the added flexibility of having two lefty relievers in the pen that he can count on (or at least that's what the Sox hope). He had Poreda for a while but it was clear that Ozzie didn't feel comfortable calling the young lefties name in a pressure situation and that is why we see Williams up as opposed to the more promising Poreda.

acccording to MLBTR Jeff Clement was just pulled in the 3rd inning of the Tacoma Rainiers game... is something brewing?
-
my one wish would be... if we do deal with the O's I would love to get Jake Arrieta from them.
-
George Sherrill is going to cost more than anyone wants to spend on these boards.
The Dodgers are rumored to be offering Elbert and Blake Dewitt.
-
Mark Gonzales is reporting it.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Sox have a new pitcher on there team in the next 24 hours.
If it is a BP guy... it needs to be a lefty to allow Clayton back to the rotation.
*I hope we don't pay the price being asked for Sherrill.
