Want a good laugh...
I found this on an Astros Message Board.
I was listining to mad dogg sports and they believe the White Sox would be a perfect fit for Oswalt.
They Suggested Roy Oswalt J.R. Towles Miguel Tejada and Jason Micheals to the Sox for Clayton Richard Gordan Beckham Aaron Poreda Brandon allen Tyler Flowers and Dayan Viciedo.
They believe the Sox would be willing to go that far for aquiring a Ace SP and some bat help with Quintan headed back to the DL.
The Also mentioned that a Deal with the Rays could go down when Valverde comes off the DL. They believe the Astros could show case Valverde for a couple of games and try and Target Wade Davis and Tim Beckham. they didnt go into spacifics but they believe the Astros have gone restless after the Matsui experament. If the Astros could get these 2 trades done . They would have the Beckhams , Tim and Gordan up the middle whom both can hit and steal bases which would instantly improve the teams speed, Micheal Tim and Gordan for 220 total bases stolen would be fun to watch alot of pitchers make bad pitches when the the speed is on the bags.

Thanks for the update SS... it was always fun to have him lurking around Soxtalk.

Is Bajenaru out of baseball now?

I found this on a Mets message board and lost it...
I just want to learn more about Lance Broadway. He's been a legit prospect in the ChiSox system for a couple years, so I'm just wondering why they were willing to trade a legit starting pitching prospect for a starting-caliber but injury-prone catcher.
-
maybe we are going to drop Corky and fill Broadway's roster spot with Roy Oswalt
-
so our 2005 first rounder got us a backup catcher.... freakin sweet!
-
they basically want to see if they can get anything for him before just DFAing him.
They have been trying to trade Castro since February.
Is Corky really that bad?

I think something more is going on here.
I think if Carlos goes to the DL... everyone assumes Wise will be getting called up.
But what if it was actually Keith Ginter.
Ginter can play 3rd, 2nd, and OF... and is actually hitting well at AAA.
If it does happen... Ginter is up for a couple of weeks, and unless he doesn't light it up.
When Carlos comes back... Ginter and Fields go down with Slayer coming up.

come on Scott

Your new starting 3rd sacker... JAYSON NIX!
-
I would rather call up Hebert Perry out of retirement than watch Josh Fields get more at bats on this team.
-
new update from Mark Gonzalez twitter...
Carlos Quentin will return to Chicago on Wednesday to be examined by team Drs, will not rejoin team until Monday in Chicago.
-
Not a lot of info there... but I don't think it can be good.
-
Lyoto is a bad dude!
He could hold the belt for a long long time.
-
I hope this is true... but even more, I hope the other two players aren't Carter or Hudson.
I am okay with giving up Poreda and Richard... but not the other two.
-
Is Josh Fields the worst starting 3b in the majors?
-
I bet we could get Chris Young back... and his .170 BA.
Couldn't decide if this should be green or not

I absolutely love everything I am reading and hearing on this kid.
What a pickup.
Could be be a poor man's Pedroia?

Carl's Palehose Series is classic and will be missed.
Great job over the years Carl.
Will still be loyally following Smells Like Mascot.
-
my calculations are now telling me we will win 67 games this year.

At what point do pull the plug on this team and start a youth movement.
June 1st?
July 1st?
Please don't wait until 2010.

Carlos Gonzalez of the Rockies.
A former top prospect of the DBacks.
Traded to the A's in the Haren Deal.
Traded to the Rockies in the Holliday Deal.
Now behind Dexter Fowler.
I love the kid.

The only time we have beat the Royals was on opening day.
I think might be the last time we beat them this season too.

37-6.
37 runs.
yikes.
after the final out they looked like they were at a funeral... no excitement whatsoever.
respectfully didn't want to rub the 31 run beat down in any further.
