  1. They continually make the dumbest moves possible.
  2. I hate to say this, but the Sox are gonna have to draft, internationally sign, and develop their way out of this mess. There's not much if anything of value to other teams on this roster.
  3. Nobody's trading a lot for a fluke season that was driven by stranding runners on base and a low BABIP/HR rate. Cease's career ERAs: 2019: 5.79 2020: 4.01 2021: 3.91 2022: 2.20 2023: 4.88 One of these things is not like the other; one of these things does not belong. Cease's fastball is down a full mph and his walk rate is even worse than last year.
  4. I don't even think they could sell if they wanted to. There's no reason to sell anyone that isn't on a 1 year deal because they're all having shitty years.
  5. This is where I land. I think the talent was there, but the Sox were unable to help these players reach their potential. I also wonder why players come to the Sox and all of the sudden forget how to hit HRs since TLR took over.
  6. At this point you have to question whether or not the talent was ever there, and if it was its an indictment on the Sox player development. Moncada is 28 Kopech is 27 Cease is 27 Burger is 27 Jimenez, Robert and Vaughn are 25.
  7. Yep, looks like they may have figured him out.
  8. This team is going to get absolutely steamrolled once they get out of the ALC portion of their schedule. I expect June and July to look a lot like April did.
  9. If I were a Tiger fan I'd be ripping that guy a new asshole.
  10. Jerry doesn't believe in paying unproven talent and he doesn't believe in paying free agents either. He only believes in re-signing his own players to below market value contracts. Sucks to be a Sox fan.
  11. I've loved my Sox for over 20 years. I watched religiously for most of that time. The failure of this rebuild has made me kinda indifferent. Though it's apparent now, you could see the seeds of failure during the 2021 season.
  12. It's not talked about enough how the juiced ball in 2019 created delusions of what these hitters actually are. It was the worst thing to happen to the Sox.
