  1. how about sean burke and jonathan cannon for masyn winn and brendan donovan? who says no?
  2. This guy's getting on my nerves. First that Ishbia nonsense, now this. It's not even house music, I thought this guy was a Chicagoan. I bet this guy doesn't even know how to step.
  3. I'd rather the new guy Pereira play CF. Supposedly he's "slowed down" but still has the range to play the position. Hill seems worthless.
  4. Deadline was a minute ago. Adolis Garcia and Greg Santos were nontendered.
  5. In fairness, talent like Steven Wilson and Adrian Houser. The Rays are doomed.
  6. If Adams is long term injured, does he still need to be on the 40man? I think so, right, it’s just during the season where you can take an injured player off the 40man and retain him. I find it weird though, he seems like someone to protect
  7. Seems fine to me. Plenty of pitchers to replace them. Pereira is intriguing. Actual power, useful glove, young. Worth a shot, not surprised Wilson and YoYo had some value.
  8. I think whoever signs Murakami is gonna have buyer's remorse. The guy K's a ton. Think Okamoto is a higher floor/lower ceiling kind of guy. I doubt either one can play 3B in MLB but Murakami hits left-handed. If I'm the Sox, I'd rather take the risk on Murakami, but I think you're right that he's out of the price range. I'm surprised they're even looking at Okamoto. As far as Asia signings, I'd be pretty interested in 24-year-old Jo-Hsi Hsu out of Taiwan. He's only 5'10 and has some injury concerns/lots of reliever potential, but his fastball reaches 98mph and he has dominated the Taiwanese league when healthy. Post-TJ surgery, I bet he has some room to grow.
  9. This contract is the Benintendi special. I'm surprised so many people are interested in him. This is a more interesting proposition to me. The guy is an OBP machine with plus power. I think he transitions to MLB better than Murakami; a lot less swing and miss in his game.
  10. I think I'd prefer Crews to Lile because Crews could actually stick in CF and replace Robert/let him slide over to a less strenuous position. Lile has obviously been better at the MLB level thus far, but it's a small sample size. I don't think Washington would give up either guy though.
  11. see i was watching this game thinking (go gophers) that benetti should stick to football and basketball because the second he has to fill dead air (or however many hours of dead air are in a baseball game) he sounds like a two-bit comedian enrolled in an improv workshop at second city. not to say schriffen is any good, but man benetti's bit got tired.
  12. hmm....sounds like something a cubs fan would say
  13. bobby witt jr could end up on this team and this board would still be like "sigh another royal"
  14. That's what I said. He potentially had a 5 year deal
  15. But it voided the following two years at $20.5mil and $17.2m. That's a decent amount of money to leave on the table (plus the $15.5mil this next year). However, Eddy is right but I thought it was a player option. Cheap ass team anticipating a lockout. Worse ownership than the south side, let's be honest.
  16. I don't think Imanaga exercises his opt out option if he plans to take the QO. The other two guys, I'm surprised they were even offered it. $22mil is a lot for them. And it scares other teams away. DET will pay Gleyber $22mil but not extend Skubal? Interesting.
  17. Boo fuckin hoo. Maybe the nobody middle reliever should have better control. Giménez didn’t do anything wrong. It also didn’t matter did it. I’d stick my arm out too if I’m a defense first, poor bad middle infielder. Why do you guys care
  18. This can be challenged. ready for Les contes d’hoffman
  19. I dunno, don’t recall, but I’d try to get on base in game 7 of the World Series too. The actual HBP was fine. That guy, along with Ohtani, had no command. Play to win.
