I think it's a combo of wind speed and the new roof. The hole (or gap, whatever you wanna call it) right before the roof probably causes a vacuum. We might experience the same type of wind effects that Wrigley experiences. In other words prepare for seeing lots of HR's hit in bunch's.
Hey, i don't blame Billy, I just lost all my confidence in him last year. Hopefully he makes me look like a little whiny b**** and kicks some ass this year.
I would have pulled Koch after he gave up a double...when it comes to Koch it's never to early to panic. This time it came back to bite us on the balls.
I'm not really worried, the offense looked good, Buehrle looked good, and it's still only one game. If the bullpen blows wednesdays i'll start to worry.
I don't know....having your #3 spot hitter ground into 20+ double plays is asking for trouble. Maybe with Frank backing him up Mags will get some better pitches to hit and he'll avoid those double plays.
As good as Cotts was yesterday I don't think he has much of a chance to make the team. Ozzie seems to like Wright a lot, and the Sox's want to hold onto Grill, so he's a good candidate for a bullpen spot. I think the Sox's staff is pretty much set.
Rauch and Wright have to be the favorites for the 5th spot at this point. Maybe a slight edge to Rauch, since Wright might be more valuable in the pen.
