QUOTE(maggsmaggs @ Mar 16, 2007 -> 02:33 PM)Even though many on this board, including myself, hate prancer, we can all agree that when he is on his game and stealing bases, this team is so much better.
Ding. Heres to him helping this team.

QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Mar 9, 2007 -> 10:21 AM)There was a special on the History Channel last night about "300". It wasn't about the movie, but about the real stand.

Speaking of Cage, nobody was a fan of Matchstick Men?
I thought Matchstick Men was good. I like Cage for some reason.

With big contracts usually comes a big cap hit regardless or weather they stay on the team or release them. Good clarification Chaos.

QUOTE(soxfan3530 @ Mar 7, 2007 -> 05:17 PM)my head says he will be gone and my heart hopes he stays. i think he will be worth every penny he gets and the decision to let him go will haunt the sox for years IMO. In my perfect world crede would be locked up and fields would be getting ready to be our LF.
I'm with you. Crede is one of my favorite players and because of that I hope he stays but in reality I know that the money probably won't be there and he'll leave.

QUOTE(U can putitontheboarrrrd...YES @ Mar 6, 2007 -> 03:24 PM)And ya gotta love a stance that basis all pitching contracts longer than 3 years becoming a total flameouts based on ONE player.
It's more of a cover your ass move contract. 3yrs is a safe time period. If they suck after they sign, your not stuck and have a player who you can't trade due to a crazy contract.
Smart business

Good deal for both sides. I like it. Maybe it'll calm him down.
-
with the money and years, if it comes down to it, it is a very trade-able contract.

QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Mar 6, 2007 -> 03:19 PM)he makes less than Gil Meche
The Sox love 3-year deals with pitchers.
from what i can recall, they don't believe in long term deals for pitchers. The one they did do, they got burned on but the name of the player escapes me right now.
-
don't mind the extension for the price that people are paying for pitching.
-
Extension for Javy? Interesting.

QUOTE(SoxAce @ Mar 5, 2007 -> 05:05 PM)I hope that Giants trade rumor is true. He would single handedly help the bears future alone.
What rumor do you speak of my friend?

Cry me a river briggs. Now i know the bears do kinda suck as an organization and they don't do the right things sometimes but he could not have this career and go make 7.50/hr. I hate when people b**** about not getting paid.
-
Nice play by fields....thought it was gonna go through no prob.

QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 4, 2007 -> 03:43 PM)what a throw down to second.
