  1. Thanks for sharing. He’s a man now but he barely looks older than my 16 year old son. 🤣 Dude needs to lift a bit. Build up those biceps. 💪
  2. It could very well happen due to his constant injury issues. And his performance last year didn’t prove that he always performs if he’s healthy either. Robert’s performance over the next 3 years quite literally could be anywhere between 2 and 11 WAR. I know that’s one bet I wouldn’t be making — predicting his total WAR over those 3 years.
  3. No you won’t. Don’t be writing checks that your ass can’t cover. Your post is a pile of insincere 💩.
  4. I think 11 is too high but 2 is too low. I’ll go 5 to 6.
  5. I doubt it happens. If the Sox sign Quintana to his projected contract before the Orioles do, we are in the Stranger Things upside down world.
  6. Nice waiver claim reliever option for Getz. Only 25 years old. Dump Julks/Shewmake for him… “Rangers designated RHP Roansy Contreras for assignment. The Rangers needed to clear a spot on their 40-man roster for the return of Nathan Eovaldi on Thursday and unfortunately, Contreras was the odd-man out this time around. He pitched pretty well in a bullpen role during the 2024 season — registering a 3.86 ERA and 52/25 K/BB ratio across 60 2/3 innings of work, so once again it wouldn’t be surprising to see another team take a shot at him on waivers.”
  7. Dude was 37 when they signed him. Guys can fall off a cliff at that late age. Jose Abreu did the same moving from the Sox to the Astros. This is why guys that age usually only get 1-year contracts for a high dollar amount if they produced the season before.
  8. But in that case, you trade the oldest guy in Martin. Keep the young guys. Ideally, the entire future group become studs but inevitably some will get injured or struggle and be moved to the bullpen. Nothing wrong with a glut of pitching. They should keep drafting it, but in later rounds. This will allow them to use their higher picks on their true problem area over the years — position players. Schultz Smith Thorpe Taylor Cannon Burke Iriarte (too early to say but perhaps bullpen due to control?) Gonzalez (too early to say but perhaps bullpen due to control?)
  9. Either the Reds or the Phillies, and probably in that order. I wouldn’t be surprised if the two Yankees position prospects are busts.
  10. “Is very bad to steal Jobu’s rum… is very bad.”
  11. Shocked the Orioles wouldn’t be all over him.
  12. Oh, so this dude is just yet another attention seeking Twitter whore with bogus news?
  13. Awesome. Would be a nice flip candidate. Who called this one?
  14. Goose Island Golden Ale beer in the Sox case…
  15. Unless Elias acquires some starting pitching, I’ll think the ghost of Hahn or some other bad GM possessed his body.
  16. Agreed. That could be a better trade than the Crochet deal, considering how low they would be selling Robert and how much money he is owed.
  17. I’m not disagreeing with you. My point is that it’s strange Elias threw any money at Tyler O’Neill and Gary Sanchez rather than just stick with Heston Kjerstad in the outfield and René Pinto at backup catcher. Find a cheaper DH against lefties (Mayo/Basallo). Use that $58 million toward a starting pitcher. Don’t waste those millions on positions you can already replace with your own farm system.
  18. And strange, lol. Do the Reds have a lot of players that have bounceback seasons or something? Most fans would be saying they should get Robert for a prospect out of their top 10.
  19. I read the same thread. General consensus was it was a good trade for both teams as they know they will lock Crochet up long-term. But many stated that it was a lot to give up for him. But it was the old adage — you have to give up something to get something.
  20. That makes sense. He’ll be 28 soon and might not fit the Sox window but would be desirable to a contender if he keeps doing what he does. Cannon fits the Sox window.
  21. Yep, this is something Hahn at least did quite a bit more than Getz. Obviously not very successful but why not try? No one will remember Tauchman and Slater were even Sox in a few years except for the diehards. Try someone younger…
  22. That should definitely be the focus — SS and CF. Everyone can be moved around later, if needed. If Getz is able to trade Robert for Arroyo or Crawford, that’s a great offseason for the future, even if he doesn’t make another move.
  23. Wow, pretty impressive. Hope Getz also sold them on the consolation prize of Robert for Crawford.
