  1. No on earned it more than good ol’ JR.
  2. Of course not, and if you think Garrett Crochet is only worth as much as Trevor Rogers, I’m not sure what to say. But just because a better package of players than Norby and Stowers wasn’t traded for a starting pitcher doesn’t mean a better offer wasn’t on the table for Crochet. The offers for Crochet were no doubt better than Norby and Stowers, but they still weren’t likely good enough. Do you really think when Crochet is ultimately traded, likely in the offseason, the Sox aren’t going to get a better package than Norby and Stowers?
  3. @Lip Man 1, so the Sox are now one loss away from tying their previous record for most consecutive losses (18), but that was across two seasons right?
  4. That looks like a whole lotta Guaranteed Rates.
  5. Yeah, it will come back down. Hopefully his random blowups are more to do with being a rookie than his 91-93 MPH fastball. He can improve his pitching strategy going forward, but not really his fastball velocity.
  6. Yep, Giolito and Lopez should probably be removed from fathom’s list. They returned Quero, but I guess he is no sure thing either. Although he looks the part so far.
  7. Immature response, considering he made a demand that he really can’t make and he sabotaged his chance at being moved to a contender and getting the extension he wanted. Not exactly a brain trust.
  8. Just think about how much time people spend on this site while they are dropping the kids off at the pool. Poopy time reading material is worth a donation alone.
  9. True. I configured a Pi-hole with a Raspberry Pi on my home network so it is automatically blocking all ads on all of my devices even better than ad-blocker software. I would gladly donate since I am not getting hit up with ads anyways.
  10. Bob said that Crochet being traded was a coin flip. He isn’t acting like he knew exactly what would happen like Nostradamus three weeks ago.
  11. IMO, Crochet primarily wasn’t traded because of the extension demand. That news came out six days ago on July 25th. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/40640468/white-sox-pitcher-garrett-crochet-wants-start-get-extension-traded If you want to continue to believe you knew why Crochet wouldn’t be traded three weeks ago, and two weeks prior to this extension demand news coming out, go ahead. You do you. I disagree and think it was the extension demand. Also, the report was that the Sox had preliminary talks with him about an extension which Crochet quickly rebuffed. The more recent news from a week ago was that he was demanding an extension to pitch in the postseason. At least get the story straight. Those are not the same tidbits of news at all. Being up close to an innings limit is not the same thing as demanding an extension to pitch in the playoffs. A team acquiring Crochet could work around the innings limit, but may be scared away from acquiring him due to an extension demand.
  12. Fedde, Crochet, and Robert. Obviously, Robert tanked his own value until he wasn’t worth selling low. But congrats for somehow knowing that Crochet was going to demand an extension prior to him doing so.
  13. WWJRD. Just ask yourself, What Would JR Do? and you will have your answer.
  14. Did you watch the video? At first, I thought this was a sincere thread. Ruthless… Getting hobbled and hopping on one leg after a walk-off celebration has to be the most embarrassing one.
  15. I confused my slappy top of the order bats.
  16. LOL, Grifol is safe for the next couple months? Why? What did he do to earn that?
  17. He just hit 96 and 97 in this 7th inning. Nice start.
  18. I thought Vargas hits the ball hard to all parts of the field? I just see a bunch of choppers to all parts of the field…
  19. Why? The minute the Sox reportedly confronted Crochet about an extension and he turned the Sox down, they should have been looking to deal him. Also, there were rumors about trading Robert last year at the deadline and everyone knew the Sox would be bad this season so why would trading Robert last year at the deadline have been such a crazy idea? They would have been selling high on him and avoided another injury, as we saw earlier this season which blew his year.
  20. Gotta love clueless Schriffen talking up 29 year old Nick Senzel as if he’s still early in his career and ready to bust out due to his talent.
  21. Baldwin swinging a wet rolled up newspaper.
