Was going to say⊠pretty risquĂ© photo there. I also didnât know what Nancy Faust looked like back in the dayâŠ

The Sox signed a couple players named Nick? I only saw the Jeff Bolker signing.

Kopech literally said there was no motivation because the Sox suck so bad. Yes, that is on Kopech, but itâs also on Jerry, Hahn/Kenny, and Getz for building such an absolute piece of garbage team that no one cares to play hard for. Thatâs a culture the owner and front office created by being so fucking bad at their jobs. Afterall, if the entire roster gave a crap last year, they wouldnât have set a record for futility. How many years was that record again? Oh, since 1901! Yeah, pretty much an almost impossible record to set unless you have a roster of players that donât respect and donât care about their own organization. Even a piece of s%*# team would barely have to try to avoid the record this team set. Jerry fostered those feelings. Meanwhile, with one trade, all of Kopechâs problems are solved and he pitches like a stud? Yeah, itâs magic. It has nothing to do at all with being a member of this embarrassing organization at all. Kopechâs life was a mess according to you, yet you argued in the past that Tim Andersonâs personal life was his own business. But Tim Anderson likely fell apart because Sox fans were mean to him about his extramarital affairs⊠Just be honest, and call a spade a spade.

Nope, I literally looked up Jeff Bolker on BaseballCube.com.

Manfred: mlb considering âGolden at batâ rule

Haha, hilarious. The feedback was so bad that he rolled it back. What a loser. -
Same exact thought here. đ€Ł

Itâs a pretty nice signing in this climate for starting pitching. Bieber is coming back from TJ surgery and will likely miss the first few months of the season, but itâs either a 1-year deal for $14 million ($4 million buyout) or a 2-year deal for $26 million ($16 million player option). Getz wonât make a signing larger than this Guardians deal this offseason.

Easy there, @ron883. đ§đđ€Ł

Agreed. Luis Castillo at 3-years / $68.25 million actually has value. Just look at what mediocre starters are signing for right now. Frankie Montas got 2-years / $34 million after a very mediocre season. Severino is a much better starter than Montas but about par with Castillo and just signed for a similar contract as to the money Castillo has remaining on his deal. However, Bellinger at 2-years / $52.5 million with his most recent performance (.751 OPS, 2.2 WAR) is a bloated deal that even contending teams likely wonât want. -
Luis Robert is injury-prone and has been up and down in his career. He may not be worth his upcoming 2025 salary and two option years for 2026 and 2027. Andrew Vaughn was literally a non-tender candidate, especially for good teams, but the Sox literally donât have anyone better so they brought him back. If he wasnât their own somewhat recent first round pick, the Sox probably would have non-tendered him. The rest of what you posted makes sense, but why none of it will happen can be summed up with one name⊠Jerry.

Other than Jordan and a fluky 2005 season for the Sox, heâs been one of the worst owners in two sports.

Yep, and those extensions sure paid off⊠-
Playing for the White Sox, in a nutshell⊠âSo to have that call at the trade deadline be like, âYouâre going to the Dodgers,â it was like, âOK, now baseball is starting.â I was in a position to where I hate to say I was going through the motions. You know youâre not playing for anything other than your own career, and when you donât want to play a selfish game because itâs not a selfish game, it makes it really hard.

That makes sense then. They must think Montgomery will get bigger as he ages. -

It will be old news once some combination of Peyton Pallette, Grant Taylor, Caleb Bonemer, and Blake Larson make the majors and have some success.

Crochet talked about wanting an extension, but I doubt he is looking to get only an additional year added outside of arbitration. Players have egos. Iâm sure Crochet looks at a guy like Glasgow as a comparison, thinks heâs just as good if not better, and expects a similar 5-year extension and money. -
A bit too early to make this claim but hopefully he is the real deal and the Sox take more guys like him rather than what they have done historically in the 2nd round. https://soxmachine.com/2024/12/by-standards-of-white-sox-second-round-picks-gavin-sheets-crushed-it/

Dick Allen, Tommy John up for HOF Consideration

Definitely. Great hitter and great poster. -
I mentioned Robertâs propensity for injuries and horrible season last year as to why I wouldnât put a dollar on him putting up a 2.4 fWAR in 2025. Also, the lineup is terrible just like last year so he will have zero protection once again.

Damn, would suck to miss out on another Gavin Sheets! đ

He makes the payroll, he hires the GM, he also hires the manager sometimes. He is the reason a new GM and manager canât start fresh with their own staff. If it isnât mostly on JR, who is to blame?
