  1. Wow, haha. Same record as last year after 38 games. I didn’t realize that. https://www.baseball-almanac.com/teamstats/schedule.php?y=2024&t=CHA How in the hell does Getz keep his job?
  2. I don’t see how it is tough to cut bait on him at this point. Vaughn is now on his fifth straight year of mediocrity. Tyler Osik’s tweets about Vaughn being lazy are more than likely true. His makeup is obviously weak if he had all the talent in the world and doesn’t care to work extra in the offseason trying to improve his game. There is only one more arbitration year of control over Vaughn at a salary of over $6 million. I don’t see the point in giving him any more chances. He’s officially a bust. He was a position player drafted by the Sox so this should be no surprise. He also isn’t returning anything in a trade. Getz needs to accept it and give someone else his at bats.
  3. Between his awful roster management and record for the second straight season, this guy needs to go… Getz should be sending Bill Schmidt flowers and candy on a weekly basis. The Rockies are so bad this year that they provide some cover for Getz and the second worst team in baseball.
  4. Wild arguments? Guys that pass through waivers are typically AAAA guys. I think that would include Lopez and Shewmake. Typically defensive replacements that can’t hit. God knows, Getz’s current roster has plenty of them, and a few starting for the team.
  5. Normally I would agree, except he just made a post about how Getz’s Bummer trade was good because three of the bums he got back in the trade (Soroka, Lopez, and Shewmake) are now on other rosters… even though they are still bums.
  6. On pace for 43 wins. 2 games better than last season!
  7. Today we saw why Getz kept him on the roster. What a master stroke of genius by our GM.
  8. Now on pace for 43 wins. Maybe you can tell us how good this bullpen will be, just like last year’s. Getz for the win!!!
  9. Still trying to defend a bad trade, like most of Getz’s trades. More hot air. Boring…
  10. Haha, I just looked at his stats for this season at AA. No wonder that same poster stopped fluffing Gowens up as part of the trade return for Bummer, saying the Sox won the trade on Gowens alone. 🤣
  11. Shuster has always been a junk throwing gascan. His primary skill is luck. I always laughed when one poster tried to hype the Bummer trade cuz of Shuster as a piece of the return. Bummer is still better than all the bums Getz got in that trade.
  12. More of that quality bullpen that Getz is known for putting together.
  13. We have no hope, we’ve got a bunch of dopes!
  14. Hey, give Getz some credit. This team is on pace for 44 wins. That’s a whole 3 win improvement over last year’s record setting team. What an amazing GM!
  15. Getz needs to stop acquiring the worst bums in the majors so when they do inevitably get cut, they don’t ever return to the team after clearing their DFA and getting outrighted to the minors.
  16. Yikes, what a return. Remember when last season was just a fluky bad season for Zavala? Ughhh… Meanwhile, Wilson was DFA’ed, Iriarte walks the world, and we have to wait another year to see what Thorpe is.
  17. Some teams draft a Bobby Witt. Others draft Colson Montgomery.
  18. The Rangers optioned Burger to AAA, they didn’t release him.
  19. That simply makes no sense. Even if Getz and the Sox don’t think much of Elko’s hitting ability in the majors, we already know Maton sucks. Elko could definitely fail in the majors but he at least has youth on his side. He is 26, two years younger than Maton.
