  1. Moncada has played this season and is targeting a second half return. Eloy has also been with the team off and on this season. Now you are nitpicking to prove your point. But perhaps you have more insider access and sources to the Sox clubhouse than Jesse Rogers?
  2. Yes, what are you missing? When a player that wants to win sees these two lazy asses making millions and barely trying, what do you think that does to a clubhouse?
  3. https://www.sportsmockery.com/chicago-white-sox/multiple-players-listed-as-reason-for-white-sox-bad-locker-room-culture/?amp Middleton, Grandal, and Sleepy Santos are gone. However, Moncada and Eloy are still here, albeit injured as usual.
  4. Yep, he doesn’t care. JR’s ego is likely massive, and rightfully so for many reasons — using his knowledge of the IRS and tax laws to amass his wealth via real estate. The problem is that he probably also thinks he’s a great baseball mind just because of his past successes in life. He’s the worst type of owner. One who only promotes his loyal minions and never stops meddling in front office decisions.
  5. You just made a statement that you can’t prove and said there’s no reason to make things up. We all know what’s going to happen after this season. News will come out, just like last season, about how cancerous the clubhouse was this year. It’s so obvious.
  6. How often do players do that? If anyone respected Grifol, they would have agreed with him and said they did in fact play “flat”. Afterall, they were losing countless games in a row. They intentionally disagreed with Grifol to the media to send a big middle finger his way, without having to say it directly to his face.
  7. I doubt Maldonado holds any weight these days, other than his own beer gut. The younger players, like Lee, are going to wonder why this old dude with 7 hits on the season is stealing his starting job when he can’t play defense these days either.
  8. And some players are still here from last year. The team has only gotten worse. Combine a terrible manager with terrible players and a terrible team and it isn’t a surprise to have a dysfunctional clubhouse.
  9. Just curious why you would default to not believing this, with all we’ve seen from our stupid manager and his players outright disagreeing with him straight to the media?
  10. I still can’t be mad about it. That 2006 offense was a monster and fun to watch. The Sox had no minor league talent to sustain any sort of run after 2005 but that was a good follow-up season by Kenny Williams. 1st in MLB in team HR (236) 1st in MLB in team SLG (.464) 2nd in MLB in team RBI (839) 3rd in MLB in team Runs Scored (868) 3rd in MLB in team OPS (.806) 4th in MLB in team Hits (1,586) 5th in MLB in team AVG (.280) 8th in MLB in team OBP (.342)
  11. Why do you think I knew? I was too. ? Drunk posts are definitely better than drunk texts, especially to an ex-gf. Those definitely aren’t fun to wake up and remember.
  12. I love how the Phillies need an outfielder and one of the guys they are looking at likely so they don’t have to overpay for Luis Robert is a guy in Jake McCarthy that Getz/Barfield passed on for Dominic Fletcher. The Sox should currently have all three options for OF needy teams — Robert, McCarthy, and Pham. Nice scouting fail there…
  13. I hope Ozzie doesn’t try to manage again. He’s much more likable in this role. ?
  14. If the Sox could get him for nothing and he replaces Lopez at 2B, fine. But he’s never been much of a hitter himself and I doubt he increases his value in 6-7 weeks before the deadline to garner much of anything in a trade.
  15. He retired after his last season with the Sox in 2018.
  16. Update: 7-8 teams have lost any interest in Michael Kopech after tonight’s game.
  17. Dumpster fire with a near 5 ERA. Only another stupid GM like Getz would trade for this bum.
  18. Kopech is the roller coaster ride that always delivers. What team would give up anything for this train wreck of a pitcher? Failed starter and now failed high leverage reliever.
  19. I think he was referring to Robert’s low number of RBIs despite his 5 homeruns because no one gets on base in front of him. All the more reason to start Lopez second in the order.
