  1. You don't think there will be absolute garbage on the 40-man to cut by then?
  2. I honestly think they don't want to call him up yet. He's just turned 22 last week. I would not be at all surprised if Teel is called up first and Quero isn't called up until next year. Getz is going to milk service time as much as possible. He has no money to spend and he needs to milk that 6th year of service time for everyone.
  3. I think Vaughn lasts until the end of the season and his inevitable non-tender. I can't see them eating his $5.85 million salary. And it will probably be someone other than Vargas as well.
  4. And once he shows he is hitting and can play defense, I am sure there will be a candidate to send down or DFA, whether that's Vargas or someone else.
  5. Let's try to milk a little fan support by calling out the pitcher Jerry was too cheap to pay for. This organization is retarded.
  6. OMFG, Gene Honda announcing the return of the stud pitcher that the Sox were too cheap to pay for. So embarrassing... At least the Alice in Chains music was awesome.
  7. One thing about Getz, he has shown he isn't afraid to quickly DFA his awful trade returns. He cut DeLoach, Fletcher, and Wilson in a year after acquiring them.
  8. Just enough momentum to stay in the game before the bullpen appears to shatter the souls of the starting pitchers.
  9. Schriffen thinks Barfield knew something about Shane Smith. And Barfield pretending like he did. Get the F out of here... Someone knew about Shane Smith, but it wasn't Barfield.
  10. How was the standing O, and when he started the DP, walked, and scored?
  11. Barfield, why don't you talk about your first suggested trade target, lol.
  12. Couldn't tell how much he got interfered with by the runner, but that was a bit of a lollipop throw.
  13. Meidroth better start gunning it harder than that to 1B.
  14. Didn't they do that for a couple seasons in a row? Which was cool, but of course it was against the much less seen arm.
  15. If he doesn't pan out, he was just a bad pick in hindsight. He was a fourth rounder so he was obviously drafted fairly high, and he wasn't with the Sox long enough this year to have his hitting be besmirched by our minor league "development" staff.
  16. It makes sense to give Sosa a run at 1B. It’s a bit too early to give up on him but Meidroth may make him positionless soon.
  17. With the sun out for right now, that’s not bad. Hooded sweatshirt weather once you get the alcohol sweats.
