  1. Sure, it makes sense, but have you not watched what trades Elias has made? He has not made one move in which he has traded his higher-end prospects. It’s not happening.
  2. Yeah, it’s better than trying to come up with countless excuses for a terrible GM. Perhaps you will see the light once Getz fails this trade deadline but I am sure you will continue making excuses for him once he does indeed fail it.
  3. Well, that’s nothing then. That just covers Eflin’s contractual bonus for getting traded. So the Orioles will still be paying him almost twice as much as what Fedde would be owed over the next season and a half. 24:$11M, 25:$18M assignment bonus: $1M with trade
  4. It tells me that if Getz can’t get a substantially better return for Fedde, he’s a terrible GM. Eflin was due twice as much money as Fedde. The Rays sent cash to the Orioles but I would be curious as to how much.
  5. Win by 2027? With what offense? Not happening.
  6. Elias is a wizard GM. Meanwhile, we have a guy who was epic failure Rick Hahn’s protégé. They both specialized in this…
  7. If they don’t hit the shutout record, I’m still curious if they have set a record for most shutouts and one-run games.
  8. Was he questioning that I was wrong about Solak’s age or that he still thinks a 29 year old player would be worthwhile for the Sox to acquire? I’m not sure but he’s still wrong either way. ? If Getz makes any trade in which he acquires a player who will be 30 at the start of 2025, he is an even dumber GM than I thought he was, which I thought would be impossible.
  9. I think he will add another mediocre starter. I doubt he will even ante up for Fedde though. But there is no doubt on what the reason will be if the Orioles don’t go deep into the playoffs and challenge for a ring.
  10. I am curious though. The Sox supposedly talked to Crochet about an extension which he quickly rejected. Did the Sox front office then talk to Crochet openly about their plans as a result of an extension not being possible? Did they say, hey, we will work hard to move you a contender to help you potentially get a ring and also get paid? Did they advise him on not discussing his innings limit or making a stupid demand like an extension that would kill his trade value?
  11. Yep, seems that way so far but it’s still early. I still have a lot of faith in Thorpe but I’m not sure he will ever be an ace with a 91-93 mph fastball. But I also had high hopes for Zavala. He is not impressing right now unfortunately.
  12. Terrible offseason… Schizophrenic roster decisions… Questionable draft (but to be determined)… And I am confident he is going to absolutely fvck up this trade deadline…
  13. At least Thorpe has many more years to improve. Salvy Perez ending Kyle Hendricks’ career was just sad to watch.
  14. I’ve said this numerous times but this is @JUSTgottaBELIEVE’s MO. He craps on every player the Sox trade away and hypes up only players the Sox receive. He also likes to use “moment in time” stats to crap on the outgoing players. Here’s a perfect example of him getting burned, and it only took one day. I am definitely not happy to be right here, as I like Thorpe and hope he has massive success, but the lack of strikeouts was an obvious red flag for him so far. Sure, Thorpe is better for the Sox due to years of control, but he ain’t as good as Cease, not yet if ever.
  15. Don’t let the awful Sox distract you even for a minute from overcooking a steak. f*** that…
  16. Sox are failing at this game as bad as Getz is failing at the trade deadline.
  17. It’s not happening. Elias will only trade his lesser prospects for pitching.
  18. Only this pathetic team could F things up this bad when they had all the chips to trade and no reason to keep anyone. Epic failures. All of them.
  19. I was thinking the same thing but he is banned for a year for betting on baseball.
  20. But why would they feel the pressure they should when they can look no further than the clown manager whom keeps his job through all sorts of failure and embarrassment? This is one of the reasons why JR’s teams are so dysfunctional.
