  1. Haha, yup. You say you aren’t shopping him and then follow up with this statement… - “It’s very truthful that we are not shopping him (Luis Robert), because we’re very comfortable having him in a White Sox uniform, knowing what he’s capable of doing. Now if it makes sense for both parties to work out a deal, then so be it. But we’re planning on him being in uniform for us next year.”
  2. It’s funny how he doesn’t understand this. Robert didn’t switch to Boras to take a hometown discount. Also, why does he think Jerry is spending $100 million dollars on any single player at this stage in time? Besides the fact that $75 million is his largest contract ever.
  3. Apparently Seinfeld is banned in ChiiiNuh.
  4. Getz is still scouring the Asian market for deals on stiffs.
  5. It’s pathetic what this team has come to. Trying to get deals on mediocre or washed-up players that played overseas.
  6. No one wanted him because he is still owed $17 million dollars over the next 3 years. “Blue Jays sent RHP Yariel Rodríguez outright to Triple-A Buffalo. Rodríguez, who is owed $17 million over the next three years, passed through waivers unclaimed after being removed from the club’s 40-man roster to make room for Cody Ponce.“
  7. He also hit .236 with 142 strikeouts in 486 PA. https://mykbostats.com/players/2771-Patrick-Wisdom-Kia-Tigers So that’s a 29% strikeout rate in the KBO. Yuck.
  8. 2026: $5M 2027: $6M 2028: $6M player option or $10M club option
  9. He’s available and would cost peanuts. Right up the Sox alley.
  10. Indeed. And he’s even older now. One old Cubs castoff was enough. Good god the Sox are cheap…
  11. At only $900K, I’m sure he will be the backup CF. The veteran minimum for next season is $780K.
  12. So if they have 5 outfielders now, Robert hasn’t been traded yet, and they also think Braden will be up soon, why would they grab another outfielder? I don’t see that happening unless Robert is traded during Spring Training. The numbers don’t make sense at this point.
  13. Indeed, and I think the outfield is actually set with Getz acquiring Pereira and signing Hill. Baldwin is also there. They currently have 5 outfielders.
  14. More good news for BR, @greg775. You’re looking at the future BR QB — Sam Holcomb, class of 2030. His dad was JJ McCarthy’s former private QB coach. He currently plays for the Downers Grove Panthers and already received an offer from Michigan last year. Coach Q lives in Hinsdale so it’s a short drive to recruit some DG Panthers. He didn’t nab Owen Lansu but he got this kid. Q doing the work…
  15. This looks like a fake foodie account with a more believable name.
  16. Yes, yes you are. Cuz the White Sox are in Amurica, not China.
  17. Getz needs to go hard after Matt Shaw if the Cubs are seriously looking to sign Bregman again and move Shaw to a utility role. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6862841/2025/12/04/cubs-alex-bregman-free-agent-interest/?source=emp_shared_article
  18. It’s nice that BR came through in football since the basketball team unfortunately lost to DePaul Prep in their most recent state championship game.
  19. Thank you! I only started following BR once my older son first started talking to Coach Q (right after he was initially hired) as an 8th grader playing for the Downers Grove Panthers in the Bill George Youth Football League (BGYFL) and then decided to go to BR. Quedenfeld would bring his two toddler kids to almost every DG Panthers game on the weekends to try to recruit the team’s players like Owen Lansu and others. Most of them ended up going to Downers Grove North, but he hooked my son. Since then, my younger son transferred from Downers Grove South to BR this year for his sophomore year and he is way happier there. Coach Q truly did recruit/build this team starting from when most of these kids were freshmen. It took him four years to build a champ. Pretty cool. In his post-game interview, he mentioned building this team from the start of his first year and also stressed that he couldn’t believe any parent would not want to send their kids to a Catholic school like BR. He was really selling it for the administration, almost as if he was told to mention it. 🤣 The cool thing is that I actually went to Fenwick so I got the best of both worlds this year. But I am obviously way prouder about the BR title for my son and his teammates.
  20. This is set to happen in season 25 of “Stranger Things” within The Upside Down world.
  21. Soroka would be a waste of money. He has proven that he can’t stay healthy at all. Dude has been injured almost every year of his career. https://www.foxsports.com/mlb/mike-soroka-player-injuries He was paid $9 million last season which is crazy money for a pitcher whose shoulder needs to be held together with duct tape. If he is willing to accept a minor league deal with a very low base amount of guaranteed money along with incentives based on innings pitched, sure go ahead.
  22. But they are still losing money year after year which is why I thought they are continuing to cut their payroll even lower. @southsider2k5 shared the numbers a month or so ago.
