  1. Many unrelated to baseball… Either that or Jose Ramirez knocked him and his career out at the same time.
  2. Crochet hasn’t blown past it yet. I seem to remember posters expecting 75-100 innings. I believe you were expecting 150 innings or possibly more. But even Sox mouthpiece Bob Nightengale is now saying that the Sox have a plan to limit Crochet the rest of the way this season, which you kept arguing wasn’t a thing at all. It seems to me that the majority of posters that thought there would be an innings limit were right, but were off on the total number of innings that he would pitch. You were insistent that there was no plan to limit Crochet’s innings because “he’s a freak” and “he’s showing no signs of slowing down” and that his arm can handle it. How does that make you more right than the majority of posters?

  4. Ban. First religion, next comes politics… WestEddy is no doubt going to bring up how Joe Biden dominated Trump in the debate!
  5. Oh sure. I’m assuming they will keep going for the Wild Card. But who knows…

  7. He’s even worse. He was supposed to be almost a sure thing prospect and he hasn’t hit in the majors. Doubt the Cubs would be willing to trade him yet but he would be a nice target at only 22 if the Cubs need another pitcher.
  8. If they could actually have beaten the crappy teams in their crap division over the years, they would’ve made the playoffs more.
  9. Also known as equipoise. Still a popular steroid for human use. Will shrink your balls faster than a Sox half inning of offense.
  10. 11.32 ERA in 10.1 innings with Charlotte this season. 1.69 ERA in 16 innings with Boston’s AAA team after Getz DFA him and traded him to Boston for cash.
  11. Yep. Braves needed 40-man spots and they didn't want to pay Soroka and Nicky for sure.
  12. I would agree but I think Robert is 50/50 to be moved as of right now. If he’s been hotter than sh1t right before the deadline then I agree with your percentage.
  13. I’d throw Kopech in and take that deal in a second. That’s the Orioles #4, #6, #7, and #8 prospects and Kjerstad is #20 in the MLB’s Top 100. I would be weary of McDermott’s walk rate but I’d still jump on that deal. Three potential starting position players and a potential back-end rotation starter? Deal.
  14. Same shears he used to cut up those jerseys he hated. Now he will use them to slice and dice the Sox garbage lineup!
  15. I don’t need to play any fantasy day-dreaming “what if?” game with this team. The truth is in the standings at MLB.com. I see a team that is on pace to finish with a worse record than the 2003 Detroit Tigers. Your “what if?” game means nothing, but I’m sure JR, Getz, and Grifol would love to use it as an excuse.
  16. What a pitching matchup for the ages. I wonder if it’s tough for Getz to decide on who to call up amongst all the studs he has acquired like Brad Keller, Jake Woodford, and now Chad Kuhl?
  17. No one with fucking basic common sense and reason would have expected Yoan, Eloy, and Robert to stay healthy so why do you keep bringing up this garbage? Benintendi was terrible last year as well and Vaughn has been mediocre every year of his career. Why the hell are you banking on injury-prone and mediocre players? Their record would be better but they would still be terrible. Congrats, I guess? You want a cookie?
  18. I don’t care to. It’s sad. I wish I had a boss like you that had zero expectations of me as an employee. But I guess that’s probably just like the relationship between Reinsdorf and Getz. As long as Getz is loyal to JR, his results don’t matter much. Job for life.
  19. Oh God, the big three injury excuse again… Meanwhile, two of those guys are back and they are still on a historic pace of losing.
