  1. He’s even worse. He was supposed to be almost a sure thing prospect and he hasn’t hit in the majors. Doubt the Cubs would be willing to trade him yet but he would be a nice target at only 22 if the Cubs need another pitcher.
  2. If they could actually have beaten the crappy teams in their crap division over the years, they would’ve made the playoffs more.
  3. Also known as equipoise. Still a popular steroid for human use. Will shrink your balls faster than a Sox half inning of offense.
  4. 11.32 ERA in 10.1 innings with Charlotte this season. 1.69 ERA in 16 innings with Boston’s AAA team after Getz DFA him and traded him to Boston for cash.
  5. Yep. Braves needed 40-man spots and they didn't want to pay Soroka and Nicky for sure.
  6. I would agree but I think Robert is 50/50 to be moved as of right now. If he’s been hotter than sh1t right before the deadline then I agree with your percentage.
  7. I’d throw Kopech in and take that deal in a second. That’s the Orioles #4, #6, #7, and #8 prospects and Kjerstad is #20 in the MLB’s Top 100. I would be weary of McDermott’s walk rate but I’d still jump on that deal. Three potential starting position players and a potential back-end rotation starter? Deal.
  8. Same shears he used to cut up those jerseys he hated. Now he will use them to slice and dice the Sox garbage lineup!
  9. I don’t need to play any fantasy day-dreaming “what if?” game with this team. The truth is in the standings at MLB.com. I see a team that is on pace to finish with a worse record than the 2003 Detroit Tigers. Your “what if?” game means nothing, but I’m sure JR, Getz, and Grifol would love to use it as an excuse.
  10. What a pitching matchup for the ages. I wonder if it’s tough for Getz to decide on who to call up amongst all the studs he has acquired like Brad Keller, Jake Woodford, and now Chad Kuhl?
  11. No one with fucking basic common sense and reason would have expected Yoan, Eloy, and Robert to stay healthy so why do you keep bringing up this garbage? Benintendi was terrible last year as well and Vaughn has been mediocre every year of his career. Why the hell are you banking on injury-prone and mediocre players? Their record would be better but they would still be terrible. Congrats, I guess? You want a cookie?
  12. I don’t care to. It’s sad. I wish I had a boss like you that had zero expectations of me as an employee. But I guess that’s probably just like the relationship between Reinsdorf and Getz. As long as Getz is loyal to JR, his results don’t matter much. Job for life.
  13. Oh God, the big three injury excuse again… Meanwhile, two of those guys are back and they are still on a historic pace of losing.
  14. Fletcher isn’t ready? Dude will be 27 in a couple months. He played last year and hit well in a small sample size. Getz obviously thought he was the real deal to give up Mena for him. If Fletcher isn’t ready now, he’ll never be ready. Which would mean he was a bad acquisition. My point was you just made up a complete and utter bullshit excuse for two of Getz’s acquisitions — that they somehow tanked with their bats cuz they had to play CF.
  15. Fletcher and Pillar crumbled when they had to play CF? Interesting. Not sure how you can just pull this assumption out of somewhere… Fletcher hit well for the Diamondbacks while he playing some CF for them last year and Pillar’s bat sure doesn’t seem to be affected by having to play some CF for the Angels once he left the Sox.
  16. I’d like to see a response to this. So Getz acquired a bunch of garbage vets because he knew they would be bad? No, that doesn’t make sense. He acquired them because he thought they would improve the team. So why is there no questioning of the types of players that Getz valued in the offseason?
  17. He has 52 major league at bats combined between last year and this year. Corey Julks went from a supposed starting outfielder to a bench player in 94 at bats this season. ?
  18. Bingo. I think Getz actually thought he was making good acquisitions that would improve the team. Instead, he built one of the worst rosters of all time.
  19. Nah, JR is usually smoking a $50 dollar cigar and either blaming Sox fans for all of his supposed woes or laughing at how stupid Sox fans are as he puffs away.
  20. That Crochet trade proposal is ridiculous. We would get three starting position players and a starting pitcher to replace Crochet in the rotation? Sure, sign me up. Baltimore probably wouldn’t even offer half of that.
