  1. Flexen makes sense for the Brewers if they gave Keuchel a chance and don’t want to take on money.
  2. I know your post was in jest. I was just trying to say that this start wasn’t looking good for Fedde for teams that are looking at him as a playoff starter. But he settled down nicely and 4 ER through 6 innings against the Dodgers ain’t bad.
  3. For Julks in RF. I assume for a defensive change rather than a trade but who knows. Sox are down 4 so that’s a little strange. Maybe he tweaked something.
  4. Bulls take the local kid from Hinsdale Central Matas Buzelis at #11. Schriffen is more excited than anyone.
  5. You can tell that Schriffen loves basketball and knows way more about the NBA than baseball. He’s talking about the Bulls draft pick and The Legend is silent.
  6. Yep. Not sure he picked up on the covert racism in his post when he submitted it.
  7. No team is acquiring Flexen to be one of their playoff starters against a good team like the Dodgers. Fedde is a different story.
  8. Oh joy, Fedde just had to be in line for a start against the Dodgers to knock down his trade value a bit.
  9. “Did somebody say sellout? You fans are too easy, haha. I’m going to talk to my buddy Rob and see if he can add more Dodgers games to our home schedule for next season.”
  10. Ohtani is the greatest baseball player of all time and his head should be cryogenically frozen like Ted Williams’ so he can be cloned or brought back to life in a younger body at a later date when such technology exists.
  11. Good idea. Guarantee him the most at bats to get out of his funk. But give him the TLR talk of not hustling or stealing a base so he doesn’t injure himself again.
  12. I know. His article here is so off base and inaccurate…
  13. Basically, a Sox rebuild is the same as the last one. Acquire a bunch of pitching and positional prospects and hope they all pan out at the same time. Then, wait for the right moment to spend money and watch as they whiff on top free agents like Machado, Harper, and Wheeler and sign guys like Grandal and Keuchel instead.
  14. Yes, it’s a weird opinion. He acquired a better starter than Cease, albeit with a year less of control, but he ended up acquiring an ace for two spare Orioles parts and a draft pick.
  15. No, he’s absolutely terrible. But I don’t think you understood my point. Arraez would have been here for this season and next season, the Sox would still finish both seasons with losing records, and Arraez would depart via free agency because Jerry wouldn’t want to pay him what his price would be on the open market. Arraez would have been a waste of Sox prospects to acquire at this point in their rebuild.
  16. I don’t care one way or another. Just get the best return from whatever team it is, even if it is the Guardians or Cubs.
  17. Ken Griffey Jr. starting in CF for the Sox at age 38 is what I immediately remembered, but there’s a bunch of other examples.
  18. Arraez might have helped the Sox win 50 games this season and possibly 65 games next season. And then he would be a free agent. What a shame we didn’t try to acquire him!
  19. I’m shocked they even gave him a shot. That’s desperate.
