Like I said, I hope some reporter asks the question — was Eloy still injured and Grifol played him anyways or did he reinjure himself running out of the box? He made a slow jog to first base on what should have been a double.
Brought up in a Sox game thread for some reason? I also said Elias will likely swing a trade for a starter or two, just like he got Burnes at a bargain.
Eloy is either still injured or just reinjured himself, lol. He couldn’t get to second on what should be a double down the 3B line for any other player. Dude was running the bases like TLR…
One question for you to answer and that’s all I’ll need to know — would you trade places with the Orioles right now? The Sox MLB team, minor league system, scouts, development staff, and GM for the Orioles’ equivalent?
He got Burnes for spare parts when many Sox fans were thinking that the great Getz would rob him of three top 100 prospects for Cease. There’s no reason to doubt Elias at this point.
It’s okay to admit you were wrong and that he’s bad now. Yes, he used to be good but the dude is a couple months away from turning 38 years old. Dude is burnt toast for cripes’ sakes.
They have young players that have panned out and the team is currently competing for the division. Their GM will no doubt make another shrewd move for a starter or two.
Meanwhile, there is no guarantee that everything will go right for the Sox, that the majority of their prospects will pan out, and that they will ever compete for anything (see last rebuild). The Orioles are actually doing it NOW.
