  1. I knew he had pitched for the Braves but I’m pretty sure Stone didn’t. Did Stone say earlier that Schuster will remember eclipse day for the rest of his life, thinking this was his major league debut?
  2. The reason it happens here so much is because of all the dumpster diving that Sox GMs do in the offseason due to Jerry. Most of these vets are already done when the Sox acquire them.
  3. Neither Lopez nor Grifol know the rules. Fire them both. ?
  4. DeJong hasn’t had a good offensive season since 2019 with the Cardinals.
  5. That planned Hank Aaron / Steve Stone story was cheesy as hell.
  6. Nice to see Steve Stone’s smug ass has been embarrassed enough to stop posting on Twitter.
  7. At what point is it not a streak? If you can’t score, you can’t win, and chances are the pitching isn’t going to throw shutouts every night.
  8. Imagine paying Lopez $4.3 million for a season. Then imagine paying Leury $16.5 million over three years. Two bad GMs.
  9. An average Sox fan could have built a better team than Getz did.
  10. That’s just because the division was better back then. That 2006 team won 90 games. Give me that every year, all day long in the pathetic AL Central.
  11. With Robert out for 6-8 weeks, wouldn’t you say it would make sense to call Colas up now? Platoon Fletcher and Pillar in CF and Colas and Grossman in RF.
  12. New team slogan… ”White Sox baseball — so bad, it can burn your retinas out.”
  13. You won’t be able to see anything, but I am guessing that’s your goal. ?
  14. At this point, a lineup of nine David Eckstein’s like JR fantasizes about might be better than our current lineup.
  15. I’m going with a W for this game just because the lineup and starter are so weak you would normally expect a blowout loss, but it’s still sometimes just fluky ‘ol baseball and the Sox will have to win a second game at some point.
  16. The Sox aren’t producing runs in general, much less home runs. They are last in total runs scored in the MLB with 16 and averaging 1.78 runs per game. Who would want to attend a baseball game when your team can’t even outscore the Chicago Fire? https://www.mlb.com/stats/team/runs
  17. Perhaps you are the one that needs to read the room. You are actually spending more time remembering what some posters on a message board said and being mad at these posters rather than at the pathetic organization that is currently one of the biggest jokes of the MLB. Get some thicker skin and focus your critique appropriately.
  18. The problem is that none of Getz’s acquisitions were good hitters to begin with. Salvy definitely would’ve been an improvement over Maldonado, but this lineup was banking on a healthy Eloy and Robert hitting and Vaughn finally improving along with Benintendi perhaps earning his money. Well, the s%*# has hit the fan on everything. I still think this lineup when healthy is still every bit as bad as a lot of other posters thought during the offseason and Spring Training. The injuries have now made it historically bad.
  19. You’ve watched this team. Do you think Salvy really would have made a difference?
  20. This. Sal Perez was expensive and would’ve cost prospects in a trade. He’s also old and wouldn’t have moved the needle on this awful team to bring them to contention.
  21. Perhaps because both were employed by the White Sox since 2002 through numerous garbage seasons?
