  1. He thought he was going to flip him for something. Obviously that was a bust. He had much worse acquisitions than Pham. That’s how good Getz is at being bad. And even his one really good signing (Fedde), he managed to turn to s%*# (Vargas). Getz has to hang his hat on signing DeJong and Grossman.
  2. “But Jerry is the owner… “This was always going to be a losing season…” ”No one could have done better so who cares?” “It’s not Getz’s fault…” “Bannister 4 Life…”
  3. Pham wasn’t a horrible signing. He was cheap and they signed him due to injuries (Robert and Eloy). He started out hot and then cratered by the deadline. Worth a shot for $1.5 million plus incentives. However, Pham did eventually conflict with getting guys like Fletcher, DeLoach, and Colas at bats. But Lopez and Oldy Moldy were just terrible acquisitions to begin with. Did anyone think they would have good seasons other than Getz? He didn’t need advanced scouting and analytics to answer that question. He could’ve just looked on the back of their baseball cards.
  4. Sheets, possibly. I’m very confident Nicky will be non-tendered. Even Getz can’t be stupid enough to double-down on the guy. He’s terrible.
  5. Wow, softer than Charmin. Apparently, he despises Barstool. Even Spiegel tried to smooth the awkwardness over immediately. Holmes didn’t even understand why he was pissed. The Stoolies are gonna be out in full force to destroy Bernstein. ESPN 1000 immediately started clowning him with Barstool Big Cat as a guest, haha. I would expect an apology tomorrow but his ego may be too large. Who is more hated now from The Score — Bernstein or Shane Riordan? Like I said a few months back, these Score guys are a pile of jag-bags. http://amp.awfulannouncing.com/radio/dave-portnoy-feud-670-score-dan-bernstein-barstool-eddie.html
  6. The Sox still think Sheets is worth something apparently. Why they don’t want to just eat Lopez’s contract, I have no idea.
  7. No, it isn’t. Rick Hahn used his Vulcan mind meld, took over Getz’s mind and body, and has made all of the Sox moves since the start of the offseason.
  8. Anyone who hopes this wretched team will improve. Not looking likely anytime soon. Hopefully, Getz can find around 7 or so more starting position players by the time the young pitching is ready in 2-3 years.
  9. I would give Stone Pony a lower score just because he has become a cranky old curmudgeon and he seems to want to troll his partner more than do his job. I realize that’s part of his schtick but it’s lame at this point.
  10. I don’t know what other people think and I have never been a big Len Kasper fan because I think his voice sounds too much like Kermit the Frog but he is better than Schriffen. It also seems like The Legend actually respects him more than Schriffen. Stone actually responds to Kasper quickly and they just sound better as a tandem together.
  11. 36 walks in 35.2 innings pitched. No more trades with LAD plz…
  12. I think they are just intentionally trying to hide part of our embarrassing lineup from sight.
  13. https://legendsrevealed.com/sports/2009/05/07/attention-to-small-details/
  14. My favorite Getz quote from the video shared above… “My favorite memory is making the decision to have Garrett Crochet be a starter this year and then naming him the opening day starter.”
  15. I thought Getz was going to reference the Bleacher Report farm system ranking from April (had Sox at #3 in MLB) again when he talked about how their farm system is “rising in the public rankings”. 🤣
  16. Thanks for sharing, @Rusty! All good questions. I’ve been trained in Agile methodology for my job and I don’t just spout off about our department’s “process, process, process…” Agile isn’t supposed to be a process, it’s supposed to be a mindset on how you function as an individual and as a team to get s%*# done. I did love Getz’s immediate diversion from the tough and obvious questions by talking about Hagen Smith and Crochet, the two rare bright spots on a team full of garbage. Getz also said they aren’t actively shopping Crochet. Bwahahahahahahaaa.
  17. Nope. The Sox will then pivot and say that they loved what they saw from Sizemore working with the young players, and that Grady convinced them to hire him full-time. 🤣
  18. Yep, this article discusses that… “Michael Kopech has an elite fastball; his Dodgers success comes from throwing it less“
  19. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this happens once Schumaker turns the Sox down.
  20. He did have like 5.1 scoreless innings pitched with the Sox, right before he was traded. I don’t know if that means the Sox “fixed” Kopech or not but that’s what happened. Supposedly, it’s one of the reasons the Dodgers acquired him.
