  1. I thought Getz was going to reference the Bleacher Report farm system ranking from April (had Sox at #3 in MLB) again when he talked about how their farm system is “rising in the public rankings”. 🤣
  2. Thanks for sharing, @Rusty! All good questions. I’ve been trained in Agile methodology for my job and I don’t just spout off about our department’s “process, process, process…” Agile isn’t supposed to be a process, it’s supposed to be a mindset on how you function as an individual and as a team to get s%*# done. I did love Getz’s immediate diversion from the tough and obvious questions by talking about Hagen Smith and Crochet, the two rare bright spots on a team full of garbage. Getz also said they aren’t actively shopping Crochet. Bwahahahahahahaaa.
  3. Nope. The Sox will then pivot and say that they loved what they saw from Sizemore working with the young players, and that Grady convinced them to hire him full-time. 🤣
  4. Yep, this article discusses that… “Michael Kopech has an elite fastball; his Dodgers success comes from throwing it less“
  5. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if this happens once Schumaker turns the Sox down.
  6. He did have like 5.1 scoreless innings pitched with the Sox, right before he was traded. I don’t know if that means the Sox “fixed” Kopech or not but that’s what happened. Supposedly, it’s one of the reasons the Dodgers acquired him.
  7. Definitely. He knows he’s never getting another GM job again so he has to make the most of this.
  8. Exactly. HE is the one who had a garbage offseason. HE is the one who traded for Fletcher. HE is the one who had a garbage trade deadline which brought back Vargas. Did he even acquire one fixture in the lineup for the future? He acquired two bums to be starters that are basically bench players.
  9. Hope that all of their young players pan out, dumpster dive to fill in their holes with vets that are near or past retirement, and pray for no injuries. This is White Sox baseball.
  10. I love when it looks like he is swinging after the ball is already in the catcher’s mitt. The Sox should tell Vargas to employ the same strategy that he did with the Dodgers a year ago when he fractured his pinky finger. The Dodgers coaching staff told him to go up to the plate and never swing. He’d be more productive that way. https://blogs.fangraphs.com/miguel-vargas-is-making-waves-by-standing-still/
  11. Walkstrini. Please, no more trades with the Dodgers. The Sox get the shaft everytime.
  12. I thought the trade was basically Fedde and Pham for Edman, who was the flipped to the Dodgers with Kopech for Vargas and the two infielder prospects (Perez and Albertus).
  13. He probably planned it in the mirror and thought it was really witty.
  14. This absolute gas can and a reliever prospect is what we have to show for the Bummer trade.
  15. You will be told by two posters that you are stupid for listening to anything that the owner or new GM said in those press conferences. Which is funny because that means the owner and GM failed miserably this season, were full of s%*#, or are liars. I think it is all three.
  16. Ozzie telling Chuck to shove it and that Ramos should be starting at 3B over Vargas who sucks with the glove.
  17. Nice quote, clown. Great job on your offseason and the trade deadline. Where is that improved defense and leadership? Oops…
  18. Does anyone know why MLB.TV now shows the Sox pre and post game with Chuck and Ozzie when they would black it out in the past? I’m not sure why or when it changed. Does anyone know?
  19. If he’s not ready to get at bats in a historic losing season, he will never be ready. Remember that Getz called up anyone and everyone early in the season, which was supposedly against his own plan. The scrubs he signed in the offseason were supposed to be placeholders until the prospects were ready, but Getz quickly started calling up guys. Therefore, I doubt Colas is long for the White Sox regardless of what Barfield says.
  20. He needs to go. The guy has had more negative plays than positive. You cannot have a guy sitting back on returns who muffs a third of them back to the other team for a quick red zone appearance.
  21. They will definitely beat those records this season, but I doubt they will put up those kind of numbers for 5 straight seasons. Maybe 2 or 3? And Jerry is setting his sights on a new concession item for next year that can top the Campfire Milkshake.
  22. I don’t think Fletcher could even sniff 14 home runs in a full season like Eaton. He looks that weak.
  23. No. Rowand hit 24 and 27 homers in two separate seasons. Fletcher would need Jose Canseco’s secret serum injections to sniff Rowand’s power numbers.
  24. Agreed. Ideally he can play CF and replace Robert when he is traded. No thanks on this little weak guy playing RF.
