I just want to know why the Sox can never luck into an old vet like Tauchman. Dude has been better than most of our lineup over the past two seasons with the Cubs. Embarrassing.

What did you not like about his pieces on the Sox?

It’s scary. With Benintendi looking like he is never going to earn his contract and Vaughn looking like a potential bust, the Sox will have holes everywhere but CF. The Sox never go after the top tier free agents so they will be signing mid-level free agents at best that could just as easily have a down season rather than a good one.

Well, twisting words is his specialty, second to defending Getz at all costs.

I thought he would suck because he was terrible in the majors for his entire MLB career, and didn’t think one year of Korean league success would translate.

Great post. I think it’s pretty obvious that he said it while “in the moment” and immediately felt stupid for saying it considering where the Sox are, which is why he dodged the interviews. However, the saddest part is that he seems to be parroting what our fan-hating owner would say.

Sure they all suck, but the stupid meatballish callers sure make it easy to clown them.

The Cubs are also 19-13 and a game back from first place. When you are winning, you can afford to talk smack, not when you have the worst record in baseball. Then you just look like a clown.

And then the Sox got swept two series in a row in one week by the Twins. Yeah, awesome call. You can only talk trash when you are winning, not 6-25.

Haters hate teams with terrible owners and front offices that have no hope of winning and actually don’t even try to compete. The Sox went 61-101 last season and they are now on pace for a 31-131 record, and you are surprised there are critics of the Sox? Really? It is quite comical how your hate is so meatballishly misdirected at your so called “trolls, wise-guys, detractors and Cub fans” considering Jerry Reinsdorf is the single root cause of all of the Sox problems.
