  1. Hopefully Tucker will be willing to accept a contract with $250+ million in non-guaranteed incentives.
  2. Why is Butler such a dbag? His act always gets old on every team.
  3. “Hahahahahaaa, you plan on chipping in for him, @Balta1701?!?”
  4. If that’s the case, they are morons. You don’t bring in Bregman to not have money to extend Tucker. I would sooner throw Matt Shaw to the fire and start him at 3B than sign Bregman.
  5. Yep, I don’t see this being that bad of a contract.
  6. Hoyer and crew actually spending some money. The deal doesn’t sound that bad for a 4 WAR player, even if he declines. He’ll probably still be good for at least half of the contract. Source:
  7. White Sox — $67.1 million payroll for 2025 Juan Soto — $46.875 million salary for 2025
  8. I thought he just converted you to yet another Cubs fan troll, which he has absolutely no problem with of course.
  9. If he resigning from his position? That would be a great move.
  10. Did they entice you back yet with Getz’s past two offseasons and a projected $67 million dollar payroll?
  11. The Sox signed their RF platoon of Tauchman and Slater for a combined $3.7 million. I think I’d rather have Hays alone for $5 million, as I think he would have been a better flip candidate.
  12. Does the NBA even care enough about the Bulls these days to fix the draft in their favor again like the Derrick Rose draft lottery? 1.7% chance…
  13. This is the impressive thing to me. Think about how good he is in his current puffier version of himself. Imagine if he did get in really good NBA shape?
  14. Haha, I’d look for new employment immediately. Losing commission and getting told to F off on a daily basis would not be a fun or lucrative job.
  15. I am not a huge fan of Lux like Harold. While he is a pretty good player, the two years of control don’t make any sense for the Sox. But it might take Vargas a 15-year ironman career to accumulate 7.6 bWAR like Lux.
  16. Joe Cowley (I know he sucks) is reporting that two potential Vuc trades have fallen through and it’s possible that he isn’t traded by Thursday’s deadline.
  17. Where’s the hyperbole? Unless you are positive that Vargas is a better player than what he has been for his entire career thus far, Lux has at least been with 3.0 bWAR in a 162 game average for a total of 7.6 bWAR in his career. Meanwhile, Vargas was worth -0.8 bWAR last season and is at -1.3 bWAR in his career. Five more years of control over a garbage player isn’t worth more than two years of an above average one.
  18. The Cubs are responsible for $2.8 million of Brasier’s $4.5 million deal, so the Dodgers included $1.7 million.
  19. If Getz was ever stupid enough to be interested in 2 years of Lux in any deals involving Fedde or Crochet, the Sox have no hope. Of course, hilariously, Lux may have been a better return for Fedde than Vargas. That’s how bad it looks like Getz blew that trade.
  20. Eh, considering the player Robert is supposed to be, should we really be impressed that a team offered a #92 rated MLB prospect for Robert with the Sox paying down some of his contract? That’s like Fedde value.
  21. Quite frankly, that post is absolute nonsense. Jerry wishes his team could be as loved locally as much as Notre Dame. I am not even an ND fan, but I do deal in reality.
  22. They just acquired reliever Ryan Brasier from the Dodgers for a PTBNL or cash considerations.
  23. I can still totally see the Reds refusing to meet the White Sox demands as far as prospects and the inclusion of cash (or lack thereof) goes. Yes, adding Robert could make the Reds a much better team but it’s not like they can’t currently field a starting outfield — TJ Friedl in CF with Austin Hays and Jake Fraley in the corners.
