  1. Shades of Shields’ first start after he was acquired from the Padres.
  2. The argument is that Crochet’s arm won’t hold up and that he should be making this conversion to starter in the minors.
  3. Grifail made the decision and we all know he is infallible.
  4. No need. We have Sheets!
  5. The jury is still out on this one and you are somehow claiming victory?
  6. His bat is crap and has declined over his three years with the Sox, but you are going to trust 41 Spring Training at bats? Take a look at his stats. https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/s/sheetga01.shtml
  7. I was told that the Sox front office and analytics people were telling Grifol to start Sheets in RF this spring. Regardless of whose decision it was/is, if Sheets receives a chunk of starts in RF, the Sox are as stupid as we think they are.
  8. An old friend looking for a team. A perfect fit with the rest of Getz’s old guys!
  9. You have to take Odunze if he’s there at 9. Allen is 32 years old. We have him for 1 year, maybe 2-3 if Poles works an extension. Odunze gives Caleb a ridiculous receiving core now and into the future.
  10. I love this mock draft: https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/news/2024-nfl-mock-draft-4-0-j-j-mccarthy-moves-into-top-five-after-trade-for-connor-rogers
  11. Bears surely could have gotten the same deal, or a better one, for Justin Fields later
  12. His trades? Sure, for the most part. Free agent signings? I disagree.
  13. Is this a serious post or just a troll job? No team would choose to start an undrafted free agent signing over the 1-1 QB in a draft.
  14. Sure. The Bears shouldn’t be afraid of a backup QB.
  15. I don’t understand this mentality. The Bears gave Fields 40 games to prove he was a starting QB. Isn’t that enough? Some guys are just backups (see Trubisky). Poles is a moron if he intentionally took less of a return and hurt his own team just to pick a better landing spot for Fields.
  16. If Caleb ends up being a bust, the Bears are flat out cursed.
  17. Another K for Fletcher. He has been brutal.
  18. Doesn’t say much about Fletcher that the Sox are looking to add another outfielder at this point.
  19. He’s not sniffing that kind of money. Just take a look at SSHM’s list of projected salaries from MLB Trade Rumors and what these guys end up signing for.
  20. Hype-man is the perfect description. Schriffen should be a WWE commentator.
  21. A second round pick for Chase Claypool and a fourth round pick for Keenan Allen. Either Poles is schizophrenic or he is learning. ?
  22. It’s quite obvious that Poles overestimated Fields’ value and held on to him too long while every team that wanted a QB traded for someone else. Your example is an excellent one. The Bears traded a 5th round pick for a backup OL in Ryan Bates who was about to be cut, but Fields only goes for a conditional 6th rounder that could turn into a 4th if he plays enough? Anyone who thinks Poles didn’t screw up is wrong, period.
  23. There were two very such posters here. I have no idea how any Bears fan thought he could become a good passer when he only ever excelled against garbage defenses. His first and only reads worked against garbage teams. Not against good ones. He’s a mediocre QB but he’s still worth more than what he ended up being traded for.
