  1. Who would want a proven winner like Harbaugh? And god forbid a guy with his proven track record would actually run the show for the Bears! We all know the McCaskey’s and everyone they have hired over the years have done such an excellent job, so why cede any power to someone that may actually make the right moves? To quote Forrest Gump, “stupid is as stupid does.”
  2. But he managed to stay professional and make the call on that Castellanos homerun right in the middle of his apology. ?
  3. I doubt Orioles fans would trade places with Sox fans right about now.
  4. Agreed. We definitely have it the worst because the same awful owner owns two of our beloved teams and seemingly doesn’t care how long he runs them into the ground, as long as they produce a profit.
  5. Exactly. It’s pretty obvious that he meant it and didn’t realize he was speaking with a hot mic. His “super sincere” apology, while cutting out of it to call a Castellanos homerun, made it even worse. What a bonehead.
  6. This idea of Caleb Williams’ decline is a myth. USC lost games because their defense was atrocious and even Williams couldn’t keep scoring 45+ points every game. I wouldn’t say that their defense was only a part of it, it was the main reason.
  7. I really don’t care about Jerry’s money, but to what end? Other than a pricey deadline trade candidate if he has a big first half, Teoscar doesn’t help this Sox team win anything in 2024.
  8. Agreed, I wouldn’t be surprised if Atlanta would rather trade for Fields and try to be competitive immediately, rather than wait for a rookie QB to develop.
  9. I think the Vikings bring back Cousins, but your list makes sense. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/39266834/kirk-cousins-hopes-stay-vikings-structure-most-important
  10. I think the Patriots either take a QB at #3 or try to trade down slightly for more picks and still take a QB with their highest pick. The Patriots have never been afraid to draft a diamond in the rough QB later in the draft, rather than the more obvious big names early.
  11. I realize Belichick may or may not be with the Patriots by the draft, but when do the Patriots ever trade multiple picks to move up in the draft? Their strategy is to almost always trade down and collect multiple picks.
  12. It’s been 3 years. If Fields still has to fit a “specific system” at this point, he’s not the guy. Talent rises to the top regardless.
  13. No one can answer this question for Fields after 3 years, but you expect a prediction for a QB that hasn’t played one NFL game yet?
  14. Dick Fitts? If only we could also acquire Rusty Kuntz. Wait! Rusty is the Special Assistant to the GM/Quality Control for the Royals. I bet Getz can make this dream happen!
  15. Yes, Leatherwood was a waiver claim that they just cut and all it cost them was some money. He was a first round OT and the Bears OL was terrible so he was worth the try. The Claypool trade was awful because the pick they ended up trading became the 32nd overall. The Steelers drafted CB Joey Porter Jr. with the pick.
  16. The Sox also acquired a catcher that didn’t even play at all last year. I’m not sure they care too much, as long as the guy is cheap.
  17. We’ve seen this song and dance before, and it always ends the same way. Awful. Clean house, bring in a new coaching staff, and let them give their thoughts and advice to Poles on which QB they want.
  18. Votto said he wants to play one more year.
  19. Duvall would probably be a decent flip candidate but I doubt the Sox are willing to pay him the $10 million or so it would cost. I don’t see any reason to sign Gallo at this point. He has proven he can’t hit above the Mendoza Line for four straight seasons. He’s a strikeout machine that occasionally hits a homer. I don’t see him being worth acquiring for any reason. I’d rather see Eloy DH full time, hopefully stay healthy, and put up a monster first half so they can trade him for something. I’d also rather see Colas get the at bats in a lost season, rather than Duvall or Gallo. And ideally, the Sox get back an outfielder that will eventually be starting for them if Colas is a bust.
  20. Eberloser is 10-24 over the last two years as the Bears coach. Fields’ record as the Bears starting QB is even worse at 10-28. Both are 0-4 against the Packers over the last two seasons. I can’t believe there is even a question of bringing either one back. Let the Falcons try to get something out of Fields. I can’t watch his garbage up-and-down play anymore and I’m surprised anyone would want to give him the $25 million dollar option for next year. Talk about money down the drain.
  21. Why? Every team can do it. Force the other owners to spend up like the Dodgers.
  22. The Texans were 3-13-1 last year. They are now 10-7 and in the playoffs. It’s pretty obvious who the difference maker is. Stroud did in his rookie season what Fields couldn’t do in 3 seasons.
