It’s nice for people that actually live in Chicagoland because it’s free (or price of an antenna). But that’s about it. But if you are tech savvy enough, you can watch every game for free anyways. Or pay for MLB.TV (free with T-Mobile) and get around blackouts with VPN.

The Sox do seem to have confidence in drafting big tall hard-throwing lefty starters. I’m not arguing against the Hagen Smith pick but in a draft in which almost everyone thought they should be taking a bat because the Sox lineup is devoid of talent, they went to their bread and butter instead. It almost seems like they have no confidence in which bat to take when it’s not a consensus/obvious pick that is available at their spot. And when you look back at the bats they have taken in the first round (Collins, Madrigal, Vaughn, and Gonzalez versus Burger and Montgomery), we should probably hope they keep taking lefty starters instead.

Thanks! Just found a new one on eBay for $15 shipped. Been having issues getting a solid antenna connection from the TV in my living room. The signals on some channels cut out periodically so the sound cuts out as well. Very annoying. Hopefully this does a better job than the cheap small flat plastic square antenna I am currently using.

Campbell as a centerpiece of a Crochet trade would be so familiar and a Getz-like move. If Campbell fails to hit in the majors, he could become our Vargas Part II that can’t hit or play defense.

Coaching and the OL is the ultimate problem but yikes, give me Saquon Barkley over D’Andre Swift and Nate Davis. Guess who cost more? Gotta love the “THANK YOU GIANTS!!!” chant by the Eagles fans as Barkley is being interviewed in the postgame show. Poles needs to be on the hot seat at this point. He recognizes star players about as well as Getz. Keeping Eberloser around for another year and hiring Waldron should only give him one more season to prove himself as GM. And Kevin Warren has done absolutely nothing. Poles worried more about adding a ton of offensive weapons (Keenan Allen and Swift, LOL), while thinking a piece of garbage makeshift OL could protect long enough for a rookie QB to sling it around. Poles is a dipshit just like the rest of them. He would have been better off acquiring as much OL as he could and played Roschon and Herbert at RB and less Allen at WR.

The point remains. The Dodgers still know better than the Sox which players to throw in a trade that they won’t miss. Meanwhile, the Sox thought they were striking gold with these guys, just like Jake Eder from the Marlins. The Sox thought they acquired two rotation starters, a closer, and a big bat in these trades. 🤣

I say no to that garbage as well. Lux makes absolutely zero sense for the Sox being a mediocre 2B with only 2 years of control left before he hits free agency, all while the Sox are pretty much guaranteed to suck. Which is probably why our awful GM will trade for him — because it makes no sense.

The reality of Getz getting his ass played like a fiddle in the majority of his trades.

If Abreu is the headliner, I don’t think the Sox get a single one of the Red Sox top four prospects. It will be two or three more prospects after those guys.

And reality slaps Sox fans right in the face, cold and hard… Getz would be okay with a headliner that will turn 26 next season. Meanwhile, some posters wouldn’t trade Crochet straight up for what will be a 21 year old Jackson Holliday with true star potential.
