Thanks. No idea how St. Ignatius played so well. They finished 2-7 on the season. That was BR’s closest game outside of the Mount Carmel loss.

(6) Chicago Brother Rice vs. (27) Rockford Jefferson
BR should crush these guys. It was Jefferson’s first winning season and playoff berth since 1993. That’s 32 years. They went 5-4 this season.
And the fact that Varsho was never even moved after this thread was created. Regardless, Cease should have always been moved for prospects, not a 27 year old corner outfielder. The problem is that Getz chose the wrong prospects.
But you just named the other problem. Poles doesn’t deserve to be around and yet we have to hope he can fix things. I really don’t want to watch him botch another draft.
BR going for an 8-1 record at all three levels (frosh, soph, and varsity) today. So far, their only loss at all three levels — Mount Carmel. 😡
Coach Q has turned around the program for now and the future.
Serious question — who is the last coach in the organization that has come back to haunt the Sox? Francona? And I think he left the Sox organization in 1995.
You never know…
Perhaps Getz will give Clevinger his fourth shot at it next season with a ST invite? Who knows what goes on during Clevinger’s drug-fueled parties with his best bro Ben Pogofsky?
How about wasting numerous years of Frank, Ventura, Magglio, Lee, Konerko, Durham, and Valentin? Wasting two superstars is brutal but so is wasting almost an entire starting lineup of stars or above average power hitters over the years.
It’s pretty easy to have very few failed big signings when you barely make any big signings to begin with and are the owner of one of only two teams left in the MLB that hasn’t given out a $100 million dollar contract. By cheapskate Jerry’s spending scale, the Sox have done horribly on most of their biggest signings anyways — see Danks, Dunn, Grandal, Keuchel, Benintendi.
