  1. Seems like it could be an awesome continuing concert hall and soccer stadium, but not enough people care about soccer.
  2. I don’t get angry anymore. I expect failure. You can name one no doubt successful Getz trade — Robbie Grossman for Anthony Hoopii-Tuionetoa. I challenge anyone to tell me another no doubt good trade that Getz has made. And even amongst his two good offseason signings (Fedde and DeJong), he traded one of his best trade assets for possibly the worst hitter and fielder in baseball in Miguel Vargas. Like I said, a blind, drunk monkey simply throwing darts at pictures of players taped to a wall would be more successful than the players that Getz supposedly scouts and chooses.
  3. Some more hype pictures for the Brother Rice offensive line led by my son, captain of the OL.
  4. Who knew that kids wouldn’t think they could get away with anything without repercussions for their actions at a young age? Remember, you are the one calling about half the US population child abusers, not me. I have two teenage sons and I did employ spanking when they were younger. Just curious, how many children do you have?
  5. Better than your kid turning into a spoiled brat or even worse, some psycho narcissistic school shooter because his parents never gave him consequences for misbehaving.
  6. Doesn’t matter. Sox will still be eating it all. No team will claim his sorry ass.
  7. How to burn $7.3 million dollars, with one stupid trade… Trade a reliever with value for bums like Lopez and Soroka. Maybe Getz has this documented in his diary for future reference?
  8. Any irony to the fact that 3 of the 4 players mentioned in the tweet were all on the Sox in the beginning of the season?
  9. I don’t think a 33 year old fourth outfielder is a priority for our terrible team, regardless of his amazing catch last night.
  10. A good GM never trades for him and pays him $4.3 million in the first place.
  11. 1 pitch, 1 out. Nice effort, Robert.
  12. Because the law doesn’t recognize a non-excessive spanking to one’s own child to be the same as a punch to the face, which may be assault and battery.
  13. Wasn’t there a rumor that Getz was telling Grifol who to put in the lineup but he wasn’t listening? I assume Getz would try to do the same with Sizemore, but I would be surprised if Sizemore wouldn’t follow the plan since he is so green.
  14. Sure, but the original post is a tweet that mentions domestic violence/sexual assault so this was always a legal discussion from the start.
  15. Agreed. I assume Crochet will be traded in the offseason, as long as he stays healthy to finish this season. Also, I assume Getz will pass on trading Robert so low in the offseason and will opt to see if he can jack up his trade value prior to next year’s deadline.
  16. Spanking is legal in all 50 states as long as it is not considered to be excessive. Also, unless it is specifically stated in a court order that Clevinger is not to spank his child, your point about him not having primary custody would not matter and it would still be legal for him to spank his child. Assuming there is no court order with this language, none of this would constitute child abuse in the eyes of the law, which is why I thought it was strange that the video in the tweet was even shared by whomever the “Goblin Gobbler” is. My guess is that this is also why the White Sox did nothing with this video, as it proves nothing. Finally, no one mentioned using a belt until you did. That may be considered “excessive” which could be deemed child abuse by the courts, rather than legal open-hand spanking.
  17. The problem is it’s obvious the Sox need to trade Robert to bring in prospects for the future when they could possibly be competitive but he is completely tanking his trade value.
  18. A .231 winning percentage. On pace for a 37-125 record. Simply amazing.
  19. He’s no superstar either. Superstars don’t go into massively long bouts of slumps like this guy, and that’s when he’s not injured which is often. .224 / .690? No way…
  20. For anyone who hasn’t seen the catch… https://bdata-producedclips.mlb.com/c92ac2a3-ad2c-4549-98da-048941ee7075.mp4
