  1. Someone has to milk a Chicago sports media job. It may as well be a boring old fogey. He thought about asking hard-hitting questions back in his 30’s, but then decided it would be a better idea to milk an easy career into his 70’s.
  2. Agreed, AJ’s beard is pretty gross if you watch him on Foul Territory.
  3. The point remains. The Dodgers still know better than the Sox which players to throw in a trade that they won’t miss. Meanwhile, the Sox thought they were striking gold with these guys, just like Jake Eder from the Marlins. The Sox thought they acquired two rotation starters, a closer, and a big bat in these trades. 🤣
  4. I say no to that garbage as well. Lux makes absolutely zero sense for the Sox being a mediocre 2B with only 2 years of control left before he hits free agency, all while the Sox are pretty much guaranteed to suck. Which is probably why our awful GM will trade for him — because it makes no sense.
  5. Yep, the Dodgers know exactly who to dump… Vargas Nastrini Leasure
  6. Bwahahaha, you’re right. I literally copied and pasted those two Iowa channels straight from their website two hours ago when I responded to your post and now both Iowa channels are instead listed as “Coming Soon”. https://chsn.com/info/ How in the hell do you f*** that up? This is truly a shitshow. 🤣
  7. We heard all about how Cease was going to net a huge haul and how Fedde was going to net a top 100 prospect, as well as a lesser prospect or two. So far, Getz’s returns for his larger trades have been mediocre at best. I guess we shall see…
  8. Here’s the article… “Garrett Crochet to draw in big haul for White Sox“
  9. You can’t get either channel where you are? Any idea if anyone is getting them throughout your state? Des Moines, IA: KDMI, 19.4 Cedar Rapids, IA: KWKB, 20.5
  10. The reality of Getz getting his ass played like a fiddle in the majority of his trades.
  11. If Abreu is the headliner, I don’t think the Sox get a single one of the Red Sox top four prospects. It will be two or three more prospects after those guys.
  12. And reality slaps Sox fans right in the face, cold and hard… Getz would be okay with a headliner that will turn 26 next season. Meanwhile, some posters wouldn’t trade Crochet straight up for what will be a 21 year old Jackson Holliday with true star potential.
  13. I enjoy the irony that we know the Sox are going to trade Crochet because he will only be here for two more years [and Jerry won’t pay him], but let’s go ahead and acquire a mediocre infielder that is under contract for only two years. This is gearing up to be yet another offseason of completely baffling moves by our wizard GM Getz.
  14. Yep. If Getz had a shot at a franchise player, a new young face for his crappy team, he would jump at it in a second. Especially for a pitcher with two years of control that everyone and their grandmother knows that Jerry won’t pay for. The Orioles wouldn’t even make the offer.
  15. This. You worded it better than I could explain. I seriously doubt we could get back “an A-ball position player/rotation arm PLUS Gavin Lux.”
  16. I wouldn’t exactly call them “legitimate” prospects (just semantics I guess), but I agree that they could get back another guy like Batista. However, I don’t agree that they could get Lux back for their international slot money.
  17. How sad is it that we wanted both of these names years ago, and are still talking about them now?
  18. I never argued it wasn’t. I just don’t think the Sox would get back Gavin Lux for their international slot money. Do you think you could trade Batista for Lux?
  19. I think he or someone else may have mentioned Joc Pederson, but he’s been good enough over the last three years to sign a short term deal with a contender. There’s no reason for Joc to want to come to the White Sox unless they way overpaid him.
  20. How much longer do you think Vaughn’s MLB career is going to last at this rate, considering his offensive and defensive production? The fact that Rizzo has already proven it in his career while Vaughn has been mediocre for 4 years bolsters my point. Rizzo has done it while Vaughn is running out of time before he joins the Schaumburg Boomers.
  21. He was ranked 31st in the Dodgers farm system by FanGraphs at the time of the trade. He was 19 and pitching in Dodgers rookie ball. That’s just a flier with boom or bust potential, not a legitimate prospect. Batista is now rated right ahead of #22 Jake Eder in the Sox top 30.
