  1. I assume @Balta1701 was referring to the fact that Bellinger was just salary dumped by the Cubs, even though he has outperformed Robert over the past two years. Basically inferring that Robert probably doesn’t have as much trade value as people are thinking. The Yankees now have Bellinger for either 1/$25 or 2/$50 with the cash the Cubs included. However, Robert is a bit cheaper at either 1/$17, 2/$37, or 3/$55.
  2. You can make excuses for him if you want but it’s not going to make him any better. He’s bad.
  3. Sosa has always been unwilling to admit he took steroids. Notice how Sosa only hinted that he took steroids in the quotes but never actually comes out and says it. I guess that was a good enough public “apology” for Ricketts. Anyways, I hope the Cubs convention is at night because last I checked vampires can’t roam around in the daylight…
  4. He blasted Jerry, Tony, and the unexpectedly mediocre 2022 season. If people weren’t watching this before, no one is watching it now. It went from a round table to a one man show. Yikes…
  5. Sure, but the team is two seasons removed from a decent 3-year run, starting with the Covid-shortened season. People were interested in the Sox then, until they just had back-to-back putrid years and began another long-term rebuild. Fans aren’t interested in watching this shitshow or the beginning of yet another rebuild. The timing isn’t exactly a surprise.
  6. Yeah, I think it would be funny if Lorenzen was actually trying to sell himself to the Sox to try to get them to throw millions at him. He would definitely be barking up the wrong tree. The Sox are only interested if your value and price are low based on previous season(s).
  7. Not in the Pirates picture. However, it looks like he gained some pounds with the Brewers. Too many Leinies and cheddarwursts.
  8. Yes, a never ending stream of terrible offseason transactions and in-season roster decisions.
  9. Last year’s team was unlucky now? Huh? Getz had an absolutely putrid offseason other than the Fedde signing and people were calling him out for it in real-time last year.
  10. It worked out for the little bum from Naperville that is somehow still making millions in the MLB from stupid teams.
  11. Definitely a worse team on paper than last year’s, which was to be expected with their “top” players hitting free agency and the expected trades of Fedde, Kopech, Crochet, Robert, etc. Maybe they somehow perform better than last year’s team, but I can’t imagine it will be by very much.
  12. Everyone enjoys slowing down to look at a car wreck on the road.
  13. Exactly. There’s no demand for Sox coverage because they are the worst team in baseball. Therefore, tough (but obvious) choices had to be made. This doesn’t seem too difficult to understand.
  14. But if they reduced coverage the most for the Sox over other MLB teams, couldn’t that be because the Sox are such a bad team right now that there is very little interest in viewing coverage for them? And this in turn would put some of the blame on the Sox — basically for fielding such a bad team that no one cares to watch coverage for? Basically, if Jerry didn’t run such a shitshow team, CHGO would have retained more of their Sox coverage staff. Yes, Jerry didn’t fire them but he is indirectly to blame for the results. No one is interested in a crappy product, so this is what happens.
  15. His brother Payton is a linebacker for the Steelers.
  16. Girthy, but he’s doing just fine…
  17. I wouldn’t touch Baty with a ten foot pole but I think you nailed it. If Robert can net us either a top SS or CF prospect, you do the deal. If he can somehow net both a SS and CF prospect, you accept the deal yesterday and nut in your pants.
  18. Haha, the life of a Sox fan. Trying to contemplate how a guy that signed for $1.05 million will perform.
  19. Yes, the guys on The Score were saying this as well. Why not just make the full company name “Rate.com”? That way you are at least advertising your site, even if it is obvious.
  20. I had zero idea either. I’ve only seen these guys on YouTube once in awhile.
  21. He can run into some homers against righties. Maldonado style, but from the left side. He still has no bat.
