  1. You act like this isn’t a common theme of the White Sox. They usually trade their cash away for garbage.
  2. What a BS call for Mahomes. Dude was running. He can get hit. Second time in this game. Joke.
  3. “Sources: Bears' trade request for Mike Tomlin rebuffed by Steelers“
  4. Uhhh, no. No one cares about Connor McKnight that much. Although he probably wouldn’t have stuck his foot in his mouth as many times as Schriffen already has, had he been hired instead.
  5. This. Dude is a 33 year old, 1 WAR, run of the mill starter. He’s just taking whatever money he can get at this stage in his career.
  6. I’ll take the almost guaranteed WS and promotional money in the near future. Hell, he might make more money from that than his second MLB contract. He’s not stupid.
  7. I hope the Dodgers win the WS the next five years straight and force cheap bastard teams owned by bums like Jerry to spend. But they probably still won’t because they value MLB royalties via profit sharing over actually winning a WS.
  8. Exactly. Win a WS in his next few seasons and who cares about this cheap contract? That will be the payoff alone for Sasaki. The funniest part of this saga is anyone who even questioned that he wouldn’t be a Dodger.
  9. SHOCKER OF ALL SHOCKERS!!! Guess he didn’t value the Iguchi connection. 🤣
  10. Typo, you bastages! I went back and fixed it cuz you both shamed me so bad.
  11. Yep, they must be hoping he gets back to his 2022 and 2023 numbers when he was really good.
  12. The A’s are finally spending. The Sox are the new A’s.
  13. Still my guess when it ever gets announced. 5.29 ERA 1.53 WHIP 100 hits, 30 walks, and 58 strikeouts in 85 innings By GAWD, Scholtens is bad.
  14. LOL. Quite the hype up design and graphic.
  15. Can someone explain to me why anyone would ever choose to sign with the Blue Jays over the Dodgers?
  16. Because obviously if you can make enough good moves at the same time, including cheap good moves, you can eventually form some semblance of a team. Unfortunately, Getz has absolutely whiffed on the majority of his acquisitions and he is no closer to being competitive than he was last year. And once Getz runs out of a Cease or Crochet to trade away, good fucking luck. Perez means nothing at this point because Getz never acquired him and the rumors of Sox interest in him sure seem to be BS at this point. Your Perez argument means nothing. Getz chose a -1.3 WAR catcher for $4.25 million that he cut loose right around the All-Star break on July 19, 2024.
  17. Yeah, Sal Perez would have made this team a winner! 🤣
  18. Absolutely shocking news to pretty much no one except for a few dreamers, Sasaki is down to two west coast teams. Go figure!!! It’s funny too, because I saw someone post that a flight from Chicago to Japan isn’t that much longer than from the west coast. 🙄
  19. Unfortunately, a big reason the Sox can’t sign anyone good is because they don’t even have the equivalent of a drug store cash register. They have that crappy change tray that we all have in our cars, and the highest denomination of currency in it is quarters. I keep mine in a red Solo cup in one of my cup holders.
  20. So what you are saying is that even though we all knew that Maldonado was never ever a good hitter and his defense had clearly declined the prior year, that he epically failed in the main attribute that Getz called out other than defense — his leadership skills?
  21. But, but, but, it was a good move since Getz was looking for leadership and he only cost $4.25 million. It just didn’t work out! Maldonado hadn’t had a good season since 3 years earlier. But it still isn’t Getz’s fault that Maldonado played like a 37 year old who should have retired.
