  1. Did Colas mess up a play in the field or something? He actually started to hit.
  2. Use all the BS trade value calculators you want. Elias isn’t giving up Kjerstad for Fedde and Banks. This is laughable. Kjerstad, the #21 prospect in the MLB. Not gonna happen. Never gonna happen. Like SS2K5 said, the Sox couldn’t even get a prospect rated that high in the Cease trade.
  3. Likelihood of the Orioles making that trade? 0.1% is probably too high.
  4. Way to boost that trade value by telling everyone you crap your pants on the mound.
  5. Your posts are so full of such whiny nonsense, I am now rooting for Getz to trade everyone so I can enjoy knowing that you’ll be crying in your pillow on the night of the trade deadline.
  6. Benintendi’s wrist finally healed. It’s nothing but homers from here on out…
  7. So it’s completely negative to think that the Sox won’t be better and to the tune of a .490 winning percentage in the second half of this season once they trade away guys like Crochet, Fedde, Pham, DeJong, etc., and possibly even Robert?
  8. Which players are you referring to here? Obviously, the Sox aren’t trading away guys like Thorpe and Cannon, but unless you’ve been living under a rock, it’s obvious that Getz will be looking to deal almost everyone else. If you don’t think it’s going to happen, you are living in your own fantasy world. And once it does happen, that will likely ensure that the Sox will be just as bad after the trade deadline, if not worse.
  9. How soon until those Orioles fans are back here posting? ?‍ https://www.mlb.com/orioles/news/albert-suarez-struggles-in-orioles-loss-to-yankees
  10. Middleton and Graveman aren’t really good comparisons to Brebbia. Middleton had pitched well with the Sox and was earning $750K. Graveman pitched well for the Sox and looked like he was worth his contract. The Astros also had a fondness for him since he pitched well for them the prior year. I don’t see a team being very excited to pick up the rest of Brebbia’s $5.5 million salary for this year, along with either a $6 million team option or $1.5M buyout, with the way he has pitched thus far. Joe Kelly had a near 5 ERA when he was traded by the Sox. His inclusion didn’t goose jack squat. The Sox included him to dump his salary. The Dodgers needed a starter and thought Lynn would turn it around, which he sort of did. They probably took on Kelly due to familiarity but they mainly wanted Lynn.
  11. The Sox are trying to win, otherwise Getz wouldn’t have scrambled to pick up additional players after the season had already started like Pham and Clevinger. They are just really bad at it. Also, their draft pick was already decided, so there isn’t really any reason for them to intentionally tank.
  12. Contenders usually make trades for players that improve their teams at the deadline. I doubt Flexen, Clevinger, and Brebbia are going anywhere. All three have been bad. Clevinger would have to get healthy and actually pitch well, and even then, no one wanted him last year. Brebbia has been terrible and is earning $5.5 million. If they do get traded, the return will be absolutely minimal. Agreed on Wilson, Pham, and DeJong being moved. Wilson, I could see them keeping due to his years of control even though they should sell high when they can.
  13. Yet another reason to be annoyed by Getz… The Cubs just DFA Yan Gomes today to get his awful and decrepit 36 year old ass off their team after picking up his $6 million dollar option in the offseason. He has been terrible both offensively and defensively this season. The Cubs realized he was done, made the decision to cut him, and replaced him with former Mets catcher Tomás Nido. Meanwhile, Maldonado has been even worse than Gomes, is earning less this season ($4.5 million), and is still a member of the Sox. Gomes: .154 / .179 / .242 / .421 Maldonado: .083 / .139 / .130 / .269
  14. I think tray must’ve forgotten who the Sox owner is.
  15. Good sinker and a good sweeper if he could get it over the plate. It seems like the Sox have some young pitching. Almost every trade going forward should be for positional talent.
  16. I don’t know. In a season that means nothing, would you rather see Cannon decide his own fate or some terrible Sox reliever? ?
  17. I know Schriffen is a clueless idiot but I am a bit surprised that Stone isn’t saying anything about it.
