  1. Vaughn up to a .699 OPS is a positive I guess.
  2. 7 hits, 1 walk, 1 strikeout in 4 innings. Getz was the only GM in baseball that thought signing Flexen for $1.75 million with $1 million in incentives was a good idea. Chump change for MLB money but Flexen only deserved a minor league deal / non-roster invite.
  3. Definitely not the fault of the former director of player development from 2017 to 2020 and assistant GM after that. ?
  4. And Getz wasted $25 million on these bums. He should’ve donated that money to charity rather than burn it in a fire pit on the worst team in history.
  5. He will get slapped back into place soon.
  6. My younger son just started as a freshman at Downers Grove South. He’s on the football team as well — a Mustang. Both of my boys are #69. ?
  7. You seem to want to ignore all of his bad acquisitions and trades. Fletcher over McCarthy? The relievers he got rid of are better than the ones he kept. The trade deadline was a failure. Vargas? Just because the Sox were expected to be bad this season doesn’t mean we should absolve Getz of all of his bad moves. Here’s how bad the lineup that Getz built is… The Angels just DFA’ed and sent OF Willie Calhoun outright to Triple-A Salt Lake. He would be one of the Sox best hitters. 254 PA .245 AVG / .315 OBP / .380 SLG / .695 OPS 5 HR 20 RBI 23 BB 31 SO
  8. What a disaster. Next time, take the extra prospect(s), Getz!
  9. The Legend is milking the gig to make a few more retirement bucks.
  10. Why is that a surprise? He basically gave away Fedde as well for a garbage strikeout typhoon of a hitter in Miguel Vargas.
  11. No one is quiet. Why didn’t this lazy ass do this prior to the deadline? He has to hit a lot better than this one game to increase his trade value for the offseason. Robert can earn his fucking spot off of this team in the offseason by not being such a suck ass.
  12. Nice of his lazy ass to wait until after the trade deadline. Please keep it up, lazy ass Robert, until the end of the season so we can trade you for a decent return.
  13. Streaky isn’t necessarily a good attribute by itself. Stars like Soto get streaky like with his recent home run binge, but they still get a lot of hits when they aren’t on a streak. Robert is not close to “star” level. The Sox literally couldn’t trade him at the deadline for a good return because he sucked so hard most of this season.
  14. He’s a mediocre backup infielder that should be making the minimum. Good glove, little league caliber bat. Getz acquired him as a starter and actually agreed to pay him $4.3 million. Awful.
  15. Let’s pretend that he didn’t absolutely suck for weeks…
  16. I hope you made some money off of this prediction.
  17. Moncada DID have talent. He put up a 5.2 bWAR in 2019 and a 4.0 bWAR in 2021. What has happened to him since then (injuries and laziness?) is sad and pathetic. Also, the rumor is that Kenny made the Burger trade, not Hahn, because of his relationship with the Marlins former GM Kim Ng.
  18. Maybe it’s a hidden gift. Getz won’t be able to waste even more money on the wrong bad players. Although that really only helps Jerry’s pocketbook.
  19. Agreed. While Hahn sucked just as much at free agency and dumpster diving just like Getz, he seemed to be better at recognizing talent and trading away players than Getz so far. Whether it was Hahn or Kenny, who knows?
  20. Getz was nice enough to keep this bum through two injuries. He should’ve been cut before the first injury. He’s old and bad.
