It’s a stuffed doll. It can’t die.

Maldonado was an obvious bad acquisition. It’s tough to not agree with the “echo chamber” on that one.
-
I think it’s more of people being frustrated with his info if it is truly accurate, because it is usually bad news for the Sox (e.g., TLR running interviews, etc.). It usually seems to be the Sox soxing everything up. He gets messed with because he supports every move that Getz makes to the bitter end and won’t admit the obviously bad moves Getz has made like signing Maldonado.

BR beats St. Ignatius 24-7 to go 6-3. -
I don’t think he should get credit. He kept him on the roster far longer than he should have. Nate Davis is next.

One Obvious Move Completed - Analytics Overhauled

A good GM would have been able to acquire those two prospects for Kopech alone and traded Fedde for something better than Vargas. -

The very best kind. -
I’m not arguing your logic and support. It was sound. The Sox just go above and beyond your average terrible moves. For example — Miguel Vargas’s numbers in the minors. It seems like the Sox level of scouting on him was looking at his minor league numbers and acquiring him based on the word of an assistant hitting coach that they fired a week later. Meanwhile, you watch him at the plate or in the field for a few games and the average person would never want to acquire him.

No evisceration for Getz. He managed to acquire a much worse player than Edman with the added benefit of 5 years of control for said terrible player. -

You just know that they are using the older TI-82’s instead of the newer TI-84’s because Jerry got a deal on them, but they are mainly using them to play Tetris anyways. -
Is there a new Jeep model I haven’t heard of?

Let’s admit it, they both suck. -

He’s a real person, he’s just not a real baseball player. -
The Sox and Getz are just a AAAA team for the Dodgers to rob their last few remaining decent players from.

Sox looking at building in South Loop

The intentionally leaked Dave Stewart news to The Athletic was just more of the same. Jerry is so obvious. -
I meant to go back 25 years, not 30. Correct on Lamont but Bevington never actually managed a team again after the Sox. He was just a third base coach for Toronto.
-
In the past 30 seasons, only two White Sox managers ever got another MLB manager job after their tenure with the Sox — Jerry Manuel with the Mets and Ozzie’s ill-fated single season with the Marlins. The Sox sure know how to pick em.
-
What do you mean? Manfred literally said, “I have confidence that things are going to work out in Chicago and we’re going to continue to have two teams in Chicago.” Manfred just questioned the location of the current stadium, which is a bunch of BS anyways. The problem is the owner and how every decision he makes turns to cow dung.

Yes TLR, Jerry is a great owner. It isn’t his fault the Sox suck. It’s all the fault of the guys (GMs and managers) he hired, but none of it is his fault at all. Amazing. This guy needs to get the hell away from White Sox business.

The latest TLR interview is even more embarrassing. TLR basically absolved Jerry of any blame and said he is a great owner. He instead blamed all the people JERRY FREAKING HIRED. You can’t make this stuff up. I’ll have to find the interview video/transcript and create a thread on it. I heard about it on Mully and Haugh this morning on The Score. EDIT: Here it is…

Both managers and now GMs. 🤦♂️
