I heard that guy missed his interview because he was too busy test driving some Jeeps, so he’s out of consideration now.
-
He sure makes it easy not to care. Between his terrible management of the team with his awful hires for GM and manager over the years, his refusal to do all it takes to compete, along with these embarrassing power plays for free funding for a new stadium that his piece of garbage team doesn’t deserve, he sure knows how to make fans apathetic and not care to even attend or watch his product.

Probably. Their [Jerry’s] second mistake involving TLR. 🤣
-
Yep. How often does Jerry pull this BS to get what he wants? The rumors of moving the team to St. Petersburg, which ultimately got him funding for his first new stadium. The meeting with the mayor of Nashville last offseason to pressure for funding toward his second new stadium. Releasing two statements about the state of the team right before the season ended to avoid facing the media in a press conference. Does anyone even know if Dave Stewart and his group of investors could afford to purchase a $2+ billion dollar team? Jerry is a manipulative mofo and everything he does is for a reason. I have no doubt he fed this BS “news” to The Athletic, just like he fed the previous rumors.

Nightengale said that Moore “could” join the Sox, not the definitive “was” joining. It’s possible Moore was close to making the move to the Sox but maybe he had a last minute change of heart? Perhaps Jerry wasn’t offering enough money, or that he realized he would be moving from the Rangers to the woeful Sox, or that the drugs he was on when he was considering working for Jerry Reinsdorf finally wore off. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/mlb/columnist/bob-nightengale/2023/08/23/white-sox-changes-gm-chris-getz-dayton-moore/70656755007/ “Dayton Moore, the Texas Rangers’ senior advisor of baseball operations who spent 16 years as the Kansas City Royals GM, could also join Getz in a key front-office position. The two close friends worked together in Kansas City where they won back-to-back pennants and the 2015 World Series championship. It likely will be weeks before the White Sox make an official decision, but Getz and Moore are the overwhelming favorites to be running the White Sox baseball operations before the season’s conclusion.”

CHSN to be available on antenna in Chicago

How could one dare question such an amazing owner in two sports?!? -
Remember how Nightengale was saying that TLR would be the next manager of the Sox, and he was saying it so early that no one even believed it?

Just get an antenna and shut the hell up! 🧌 🤣 -
This would just be praying for the needle in the haystack. If the Sox end up hiring an absolute brain trust of a manager, it will be because they lucked into one.

Just have a drink for each Ankin Law commercial you see and each time you hear “sponsored by Binny’s”. You’ll need to go to Binny’s to buy more booze just to make it through a game. Is Beggars Pizza still around? -
Nothing would be more hilarious than passing on AJ Hinch for TLR to then settle for Hinch’s bench coach four years later. Jerry is a dolt of epic proportions when it comes to baseball. Great at making money though…

Sox looking at building in South Loop

I agree that Crochet should be dealt because he won’t be in the window of the Sox being competitive. I still fear what Getz trades him for.
-
And light years better than the stiffs they have had at QB since Roethlisberger retired.

Sox looking at building in South Loop

It’s a running theme, just like the parking lots. -
Yeah, that’s the worst part and even scarier. Like Getz was almost immediately admitting that the trade was a mistake.
-
The Sox rotation should be interesting once Schultz and Smith arrive, but that maybe 2026.
-
It was definitely the right move. Caleb can actually throw it. Meanwhile, Fields is still the same guy… 14/24 for 145 passing yards, 0 passing TDs 11 rushes for 59 yards, 2 rushing TDs
-
It was really his only bad pass in the game. ESPN 1000 was also talking about how the OL has gelled together since the team has basically kicked Nate Davis to the curb with a BS “soft tissue” injury. “Soft” is right.

You mean you weren’t happy with a “sorry” letter from the owner shared like a press release?
