You know Scott Merkin has a bunch of folders on his desktop for each year of Spring Training and just randomly digs up an old article on this and replaces the old Sox player names with the new ones. -
I am expecting Grady as well. No legit manager would want to come here and Grady will be cheap. They can also sell him as a former player and young manager that can relate with the young Sox players.

18 games? 11 percent of the season. Pretty small sample size to judge them by and most of those wins were against the lowly Angels and A’s.

I doubt he cares how any of us feel. He just didn’t want to face the press in a conference so he made this preemptive release.

Nicky is okay with it because Getz paid him $4.3 million dollars to suck this season, even thought he’s a garbage player pretty much every year that deserves the minimum.

After seeing the results of Fletcher and Vargas, I doubt anyone wants to see Getz attempt to trade another pitcher for bats again.

That only works if he can also hit as well. Otherwise he’s a taller Eddie Gaedel. .151 AVG and .509 OPS Vargas is awful.

They faced the awful Angels and a team that clinched the playoffs in the first game of the series. Are you for real? They still suck.

Agreed. These guys should play hard for him. He was a better player then all of them so they should at least respect him.
