  1. Seriously, F this guy after his trade deadline antics. Trade him.
  2. Hey man, would you pay to watch this team for the next few years? I’ll watch them if it’s near free (just electricity). Paying to watch this team is the equivalent of a Getz offseason — like lighting money on fire.
  3. Getz probably just wasn’t tracking it. I bet he got berated by Jerry about how many more Campfire Shakes they will have to sell next year to make back that $250K.
  4. Yep. Most smart TV’s have an OS with a proprietary app store to download VPN apps and the MLB.TV app. If your smart TV’s app store selection is limited, you can always grab an Amazon Fire Stick 4K Max for $30 to $35 on sale (Prime Days coming up soon) and its app store has almost everything. It’s the cheapest solution for sailing the open seas in search of streaming treasure. 🏴‍☠️
  5. But will you want to? It might actually be better to live in the woods with no electricity and TV like Ted Kaczynski. No awful baseball to annoy you, just beautiful nature!
  6. Yep, I hear you. I had bought a subscription to Windscribe VPN ages ago back when companies actually sold VPN licenses for a one-time flat fee rather than a monthly fee. I think it was like $15 to $20 bucks. I set my VPN location to England and never have a problem getting a blacked out Sox game. It’s been more reliable for me than Reddit streams, which I also used to watch.
  7. I just learned from my 14 year old son how to configure an app called Stremio and the best torrent and live channel add-on’s for it. I can’t believe anyone would ever pay for cable after seeing Stremio. I’ll pay for faster Internet speeds to support streaming, but that’s about it.
  8. My favorite has always been the annual free MLB.TV through T-Mobile along with a VPN app on phones, tablets, laptops, smart TV’s, etc. Chicago blackouts averted… Or a site named MLB66 if you don’t have T-Mobile or a VPN app…
  9. Remember when Getz made a somewhat big deal about retaining him? 🤣
  10. Yes, you are correct. I am just referring to it by its marketed name because it allows you to receive high definition (HD) channels over the air (OTA), but it also allows you to get standard definition (SD) channels as well to your point. I am in the west suburbs, well within 35 miles of downtown and constantly adjusting an antenna is a little bit of an annoyance. But I guess free is free so that is the price you pay.
  11. Did your friends ever take you to an adult entertainment club for your 18th birthday? Some clubs are better than others. Some are chains with multiple locations while others may only be a single location. They also have branding for their names. They sell “entertainment” and some clubs have higher quality entertainment than others. The White Sox provide sports as a form of entertainment instead.

  13. The problem with HD antennas in some areas is that while you may get good reception with it positioned in one location for some channels, other channels will be choppy. Probably need to mount a rooftop antenna in some areas to get a good signal for all channels. I have yet to find the magical HD antenna for a single TV that works perfectly for all channels, and people don’t want to mess around adjusting an HD antenna like bunny ears in the old days.
  14. Yes and yes. I believe @southsider2k5 has said this before — Stone is a simply a bitter old man at this point.
  15. He’s definitely a clown act, but what does Goldust have to do with this?
  16. I have a feeling Getz won’t be referencing this Bleacher Report article like he did with the one about the Sox farm system being ranked third in the MLB. 🤣
  17. Robert absolutely blows right now and has been terrible for a long stretch. Eloy sucked when he was healthy and just got optioned to the minors by the Orioles. Moncada may have at least been mediocre to average (.730 to .750 OPS), but he is always injured and can never be counted on, much like Eloy and even Robert to a lesser extent. But even had these three guys all stayed healthy, it’s starting to look like your theory that they would have improved the White Sox record much isn’t really a slam dunk. Our “3 top offensive players” look like absolute busts right now.
  18. Stone Pony / The Legend — your dogs miss you at home. Retire and enjoy life with your pets… and take Schriffen with you.
