JR must have missed the memo on the draft changes and that teams are no longer trading away their top prospects for top trade deadline and offseason targets. Sadly, the best chance the Sox had was during their first failed rebuild.

That’s the true way to make money. Not by building a good team that sells itself and that people will automatically come to see, but an overloaded call center of solicitors selling a crappy product. It’s like being sold on a time share. Who doesn’t love that?!?

The White Sox plan to promote Ky Bush from Triple-A Charlotte to start against the Athletics on Monday. It will be the MLB debut for the 24-year-old southpaw who was acquired from the Angels in the Lucas Giolito trade. Bush has really struggled in four outings (two starts) since getting promoted to Triple-A Charlotte on July 1 — posting a 6.16 ERA, 1.53 WHIP and a 16/10 K/BB ratio over 19 innings — making the timing of the promotion a bit interesting. He’ll see if he can stop the White Sox’ 20-game losing streak when he takes the mound on Monday night.

Yep, I was just hoping he would pitch as well as he did for the Padres and the Sox could flip him immediately with his multiple years of control. Everything went to crap except for Crochet and Fedde.

He must be talking about a different dimension in the multiverse than ours.

I’m not quite sure how you are reading this board but the majority of posters are sick of both players and think they are both busts.

Eloy earned his “damaged hamstring” because he decided to never truly get into shape like legitimate star baseball players that take their careers seriously. Eloy has no one to blame but himself. The Sox have paid this bum $30+ million to put up 5 WAR over 6 seasons. Eloy has generational wealth from the Sox for putting up 5 WAR. It’s a nice gig if you can get it, I guess.

Why would you compare Eloy to a 1B draft pick that this board already knows is a bust? How does that make Eloy look any better? The only reason he is still around is because he’s way cheaper than Eloy. Andrew Vaughn’s status as a bad baseball player doesn’t make Eloy any better. Eloy is still a bust too, if you haven’t noticed.

Almost as bad as grasping for Getz’s nuts and acting like he had nothing to do with this historically bad season. You know, the team he actually put together last offseason?

Dude hasn’t posted in almost a full year. I think he may have given up on the optimism, but hopefully he is happy and healthy.

Without Rick Hahn, Getz wouldn’t even have the few good prospects that he has right now.

While also taking away 6 years of control over a top 2B/CF prospect from them. Getz is a moron and in way over his head.

It sure looks a whole lot worse now than when the trade was made, especially with Cease turning back into an ace this season. An offensive prospect (Zavala) struggling right after he comes to our organization. What a surprise!

No, you get Dominic Fletcher and you’ll like it! Amazing how many poor decisions Getz has made outside of his one good signing (Fedde).

Colas should have been starting all season. Getz and Grifol were too busy proving what any Sox fan with a clue already knew, that Sheets sucks balls and should be DFA.

It’s at the point now where no one could even use small sample sizes to prove this team isn’t as bad as its record. There are no more small sample sizes of them winning. ?
