  1. That would be my guess. Definitely seems like an underwhelming pick upon first glance.
  2. Okay then, the “Sox front office’s obsession with undersized outfielders.” 5’10, 185, average speed, and he can’t play CF adequately apparently.
  3. What is Getz’s obsession with undersized corner outfielders? ”He’s got a strong arm that would suit him in right field, but he doesn’t have the typical right field build—he’s listed at 5-foot-10, 185 pounds—or raw power so he’s a bit of a tweener outfield prospect with average speed that probably won’t allow him to play center.”
  4. And if he quits, he doesn’t get paid. If he gets fired at the end of the season, he will earn another million or so for the 2025 season.
  5. His 40%+ strikeout rate is more of a reason to pump the breaks than any current prospect rating in any publication.
  6. And then that type pans out, turns into an ace, and Jerry is too cheap to pay them so they are traded. Schultz is next… ?
  7. Why does Getz gets credit for Crochet again?
  8. You seemed to be blaming keeping Grifol on “bad PR around the league”. That isn’t why he was kept.
  9. Hah, it’s cute that you actually think keeping or firing Grifol was ever Getz’s choice to make. JR kept Grifol around because he really doesn’t care and wants to fire Grifol at the end of this season to serve as the fall guy for this absolute dumpster fire of a season and to serve as a cushion for him and Getz from receiving all of the criticism.
  10. Too bad neither player can achieve and maintain a league average OPS of .709. The stats and larger sample sizes say they are both sub-.700 OPS players. Sheets: 2024 OPS: .693 Career OPS: .691 Julks: 2024 OPS: .693 Career OPS: .661
  11. “Moncada might play again. Moncada doesn’t care”
  12. Sheets is terrible. He is DFA worthy after this year. And you are saying that Julks is worthy of being a platoon corner outfielder based on his ability to hit lefties in 43 at bats this year? Go take a look at his numbers against lefties last year with the Astros. He was actually better against righties last year. No, I will never agree with this nonsense.
  13. I agreed with you by saying, “in a bizarro dimension…”? ?
  14. Eloy and Robert are here now. Benintendi and Vaughn have started to hit a bit. The team is still losing.
  15. Greg enjoys 70 win seasons that lead to nothing. Just.Win.Baby.
  16. Read the comments. No one agrees with your nonsense. And like Dick Allen just said, now you are calling for one of the “big three” to be DFA.
  17. Why doesn’t he play the “What If?” game of what if Getz didn’t have a historically bad offseason? Perhaps the Sox would have a few more wins.
  18. People are laughing right now that you keep posting this nonsense. Yes, in the bizarro dimension in which Eloy, Yoan, and Robert aren’t three of the most injury-prone players in the MLB, all stayed healthy, and all hit well (even though currently Eloy is terrible and Robert isn’t even hitting great as expected), and Benintendi didn’t repeat his same awful year as last season, and Vaughn was his usual mediocre self, the Sox may not have been a historically bad team, just really bad. ? But you couldn’t afford to buy all the IF’s this scenario would have required.
  19. You think 2 more good hitters is all this team needs? Greg, have you been sniffing glue?
  20. You already spouted this nonsense weeks ago and people laughed at you about it then. The “big three” never stay healthy, Benintendi already sucked horribly last season, and Vaughn has always been mediocre. So why were you expecting any of the things you posted to happen? Getz shouldn’t have expected it to happen either.
