  1. No. Elias was probably asking for Paul Skenes, Bubba Chandler, and Luis Ortiz. Skenes alone is now worth more than Holliday. He is officially a proven stud ace in the majors, and likely worth more than Holliday even if Jackson pans out as well.
  2. It was obvious his first game back when he could barely jog to first base. Like SS2K5 said, the Sox will do the same stupid s%*# with Moncada. Basically blow any chance of these two bums getting healthy to deal them for anything by the trade deadline. The Sox rehab their players in the majors and just tell them to home run trot to first base on any contact. Even Sox apologist Chuck Garfien has been wondering in the postgame shows why Eloy is playing when he can barely jog to first base. Getz’s roster management has been absolute clown shoes this season.
  3. That’s what we thought in the offseason. No one thought winning at a .250 rate would be possible and they proved us wrong for a long stretch. Now imagine Robert, Crochet, Fedde, and any halfway decent reliever in our garbage bullpen being gone, along with DeJong and Pham?
  4. Schriffen is talking up the NBA Summer League and how excited he is for it. Anyone else think he took the Sox gig to grease the wheels with Reinsdorf for a future Bulls commentator gig? He sure seems to love basketball more than baseball. He does have SlamBall experience after all…
  5. Yes, it could. Similar to the Alex Rios acquisition years ago, it would have to be a bad team trying to dump a bloated contract for an above average player. The Sox got two good seasons out of Rios and then traded him for Leury Garcia, and it only cost them money.
  6. It’s going to be like the start of the season again.
  7. Anyone else cringe when The Legend said something like how every time Eloy gets in a groove he gets hurt and has to start over again? Yeah, Stone Pony, that’s cuz he’s the most injury-prone walking disease in baseball. Where the hell have you been?
  8. Yes, I want our best trade chip to get injured because I would prefer to watch him pitch more innings.
  9. I didn’t say they would, but it won’t be the Sox problem to worry about one way or the other. If he suffers poor performance or gets injured then, the Sox won’t be impacted. And I think that was intentional by the Sox. Once he showed how good he could be, the Sox let him throw without any concern for his innings cuz they knew they would be trading him.
  10. I don’t think it will even be the Sox problem to worry about in a couple weeks, and I think that will have been intentional.
  11. Even Getz isn’t stupid enough to do this. If this happens, we will all know whose initiative it was.
  12. They would probably win more if they could bat for themselves over whatever our projected lineup will be for next season. ?
  13. He’s still a nice backup but it’s good that we have Quero.
  14. It’s a crying shame. Imagine a rotation of: Crochet Thorpe Schultz Fedde Cannon Oh well, the offense wouldn’t be ready yet anyways.
  15. Anyone “complaining” just wanted to see more of Crochet, selfishly or not. I’m sure they realize it was the right move.
  16. That All-Star Game appearance is more important to the Sox than anything else, haha. They get a chance to showcase Crochet on the big stage.
  17. You guys are probably right, but it sure feels like they burned his ass out on innings cuz they know they are trading him and he won’t be around. Especially after the rumor that he declined any extension talks.
  18. Time for everyone to stick it to @JUSTgottaBELIEVE. He railed everyone for saying there would be a limit for Crochet at around 100 innings and BOOM, here we are.
  19. Now the prize is him simply being gone forever. Moncada will be next.
  20. He’s absolutely nuts to turn down any Jeep. What a loser. I don’t even want him now. @Quin and @T R U would agree.
  21. I thought he may have some juice left in his tank in the offseason but he still received far too much money ($8 million). I wouldn’t be surprised if he retires once the season is over.
