  1. Yes, I want our best trade chip to get injured because I would prefer to watch him pitch more innings.
  2. I didn’t say they would, but it won’t be the Sox problem to worry about one way or the other. If he suffers poor performance or gets injured then, the Sox won’t be impacted. And I think that was intentional by the Sox. Once he showed how good he could be, the Sox let him throw without any concern for his innings cuz they knew they would be trading him.
  3. I don’t think it will even be the Sox problem to worry about in a couple weeks, and I think that will have been intentional.
  4. Even Getz isn’t stupid enough to do this. If this happens, we will all know whose initiative it was.
  5. They would probably win more if they could bat for themselves over whatever our projected lineup will be for next season. ?
  6. He’s still a nice backup but it’s good that we have Quero.
  7. It’s a crying shame. Imagine a rotation of: Crochet Thorpe Schultz Fedde Cannon Oh well, the offense wouldn’t be ready yet anyways.
  8. Anyone “complaining” just wanted to see more of Crochet, selfishly or not. I’m sure they realize it was the right move.
  9. That All-Star Game appearance is more important to the Sox than anything else, haha. They get a chance to showcase Crochet on the big stage.
  10. You guys are probably right, but it sure feels like they burned his ass out on innings cuz they know they are trading him and he won’t be around. Especially after the rumor that he declined any extension talks.
  11. Time for everyone to stick it to @JUSTgottaBELIEVE. He railed everyone for saying there would be a limit for Crochet at around 100 innings and BOOM, here we are.
  12. Now the prize is him simply being gone forever. Moncada will be next.
  13. He’s absolutely nuts to turn down any Jeep. What a loser. I don’t even want him now. @Quin and @T R U would agree.
  14. I thought he may have some juice left in his tank in the offseason but he still received far too much money ($8 million). I wouldn’t be surprised if he retires once the season is over.
  15. They will probably treat the All-Star Game as his side session and it will be one inning max.
  16. And after tonight’s start, it would give Crochet only two more starts before the trade deadline.
  17. Yep. They can’t say they didn’t know. I remember when they traded for him and immediately extended him, all the talk was around how risky it was giving him that deal with how often he gets hurt. But then again, the Dodgers sh1t $$$.
  18. Can deliver it well when healthy, but takes a punch like Tim Anderson.
  19. Yep. I was just looking at his splits. If you only looked at those, you would wonder why he wasn’t still starting.
  20. Josue De Paula (#63 in top 100) is an outfielder. RF is his likely spot. They also have C/1B Dalton Rushing (#48 in top 100) as well. Both would be an awesome return for Fedde but that’s more than likely asking for too much.
  21. I wasn’t talking about pitching prospects. The Sox seem to be pretty good at drafting them. I won’t argue that. Anderson was drafted awhile ago (2013) and is currently out of baseball, perhaps for good, so I didn’t even consider him. Also, you had already mentioned Montgomery and he is no longer a surefire stud prospect and expected above average major leaguer with a .700 OPS in AAA this year.
