  1. The Twins prospect (Luke Keaschall) is 21 and definitely fit the Sox timeline much better than 24 year old Vargas with 5 years of control.
  2. Yep, that is the kicker. If it isn’t some stupid rule invoked by Jerry like you say, it means Getz thinks they will be competitive next year, lol! If there is any truth to the Twins offer for Fedde, choosing Vargas over a young prospect like Luke Keaschall who can play 2B and CF with a full six years of control is a deplorable decision.
  3. Crochet just threw 4 innings and 77 pitches and gave up only 1 run against the Twins yesterday. A contending team with a big division lead could likely have managed his innings/pitches better than the Sox and get him to pitch in the playoffs. Teams knew about his innings count, yet were still interested. Crochet then made his demand for an extension to pitch in the postseason six days before the trade deadline. That is what truly turned teams off. You did not know about Crochet’s extension demand when you made your claim that he would not be traded, three weeks before the trade deadline. You predicted he wouldn’t be traded without the very news/update that caused him not to be traded. The end. ? ?
  4. I present to you greg, the most bi-polar poster of all time… https://www.soxtalk.com/forums/topic/119449-thorpe-to-il-with-flexor-strain/?do=findComment&comment=4632372
  5. Why are you worried about Crochet being worthless to the already worthless 27-86 White Sox? At this point, the Sox winning or losing games isn’t important because their season was already over months ago. Do you not think Crochet will be tradable in the offseason? Because the key for the Sox is keeping him healthy, not winning a meaningless game so greg can go to bed with a smile on his face.
  6. It has only been 2 innings but I do remember people saying this would happen. Meanwhile, the Sox ruin offensive prospects.
  7. You gotta love how the owner of two sports teams could be so smart and so clueless at the same time. JR sure wanted and expected his two teams to gain a ton of value. Afterall, that’s why he invested in both teams. But he failed to understand that the stars of his teams were the reason anyone went to see them. But he still doesn’t think a star player deserves $25 million dollars a year. What a paradoxical moron of an owner.
  8. And two of the pitchers he mentioned barely threw 90 MPH.
  9. LOL, “babying” of Crochet’s arm? Have you followed either Crochet’s career or the Sox at all for the last few years? The Sox have done the exact opposite of “babying” Crochet’s arm this year. Crochet is at 118 innings pitched on the season. In the previous 4 years, he only pitched a combined total of 73 innings in the majors.
  10. A dude that can just fucking hit. Exactly the type of player the Sox need. Not a freaking “athletic” dude that can’t get on base, which was the previous strategy of drafting.
  11. Can we still not judge Getz as a GM because it’s all Hahn and JR’s fault? The dude burned $24 million in a fire pit on garbage players this past offseason. Had he spent that money more wisely, I’m sure he wouldn’t be staring at the worst record in MLB history in his near future.
  12. The White Sox strategy/mantra for decades. The best part is that all of the players in my list, other than Brebbia and Clevinger, were proven to be terrible players over years and not worth signing for any more than maybe a million bucks or as a non-roster invitee. Getz decided to pay them more with guaranteed contracts.
  13. Speaking of which, does anyone have access to Baseball America’s most recent Top 100 update to check where Keaschall is ranked?
  14. He’s just another swing for the fences every AB player. That crap works at AAA but not in the bigs.
  15. Thanks for fulfilling a very important role and providing us with this positive update!
  16. 2B/CF Luke Keaschall Draft: 2023, Minnesota Twins, Round: 2, Overall Pick: 49 Twins #5 prospect MLB’s #92 overall prospect My guess is that he is rated even higher on Baseball America’s most recent Top 100 update with the way he has raked this season.
  17. Yep. If there’s a bad decision to make, Getz will make it almost every time. Don’t forget trading for Fletcher instead of McCarthy and cutting Pillar too early. I thought he was supposed to know about player development and scouting?
  18. 19 losses in a row, no doubt due to Getz having a historically bad offseason. Getz essentially burned $24 million in a fire pit this past offseason. That’s pretty much Bryce Harper’s annual salary. Fire this fucking loser along with GriFAIL. Brebbia - $5.5 million Maldonado - $4.5 million Lopez - $ 4.3 million Soroka - $3 million Clevinger - $3 million Hill - $1.8 million Flexen - $1.75 million
  19. Vargas blows. Getz couldn’t pick the right player if he could see the future. He’s that terrible of a GM.
