This team is cursed. Good thing Getz acquired 24 year old Vargas with 5 years of control rather than a promising prospect with full control like the Twins offer and choosing when to call up said prospect. Instead, even if Vargas pans out, he will be wasting service time while Thorpe is healing from his inevitable upcoming TJ surgery.

Jesus, I realize that the Sox called Eloy back up too early while he was still hurt to try to get some sort of trade value out of him prior to the deadline, but how long does it take this walking disease to heal?

I think @ChiSox59 will be proven right and Eloy will be cut before the end of the season. They will eventually call back up Kjerstad whom they sent down for Eloy initially.
