  1. We might be able to get an older Dominic Fletcher for him. Flexen is so bad that it’s not even worth talking about what he could return in a trade.
  2. Because his recent hot streak outweighs his amazing .725 career OPS as a first baseman. ? Bold Prediction: Both Vaughn and Sheets are White Sox after the trade deadline.
  3. The only thing funny or shocking would be Jerry picking up Eloy’s and Moncada’s team options rather than paying their buyouts. Not happening in either tray’s or greg’s wet dreams…
  4. Grifol has consistently played vets over young players this season. If Getz hasn’t told Grifol to wise the fvck up, he is culpable too. Other than the mediocre return we will get for most of our positional players, why would you not want to see what younger players like Colas can do in a wasted season to plan for the future? Also, have you looked at Pham’s stats lately? He isn’t returning jack squat, just like Sheets, whom you have been hyping up recently due to all of the 1B-needy teams. Robert has been terrible. Unless he gets hot, he won’t be traded until the offseason at the earliest. No idea why you would never mention Benintendi. The Sox are stuck with his sorry ass until they cut him.
  5. Yep, and I know you know this but that’s my point regarding winning next season.
  6. And who is replacing these guys? Quero, Schultz, and a struggling Montgomery and Ramos? Where is the other half of the lineup?
  7. Yep, especially after AJP just ripped the team for dumping him a couple months ago.
  8. You are hyping a 15 game stretch of a record? It’s such a small sample size that even a historically sh1t team like the Sox can still win a few games in that stretch. Let’s see their record the rest of the way with Crochet, Thorpe, and Cannon.
  9. Waste of money for how bad the Sox will still be. Get back to us when the Sox can field a non-AAA lineup.
  10. It doesn’t make much sense if this information on his MILB options is accurate. Julks has been absolute trash this entire month of June — .189 AVG / .246 OBP / .340 SLG / .586 OPS. Play the guy who won’t be 29 years old next season.
  11. Well, tray sees one strong win and turns into greg with his overhyping of a shitty Sox team. But one thing remains the same — that radioactive fallout shelter ground at “The 78” site.
  12. Who cares if it is? I believe Julks may have an option or two left, and he’s 28 and bad anyways. Play the 25 year old and see what he can do.
  13. And finally, the funniest thing about this move is that I saw people posting that Grifol would look for any excuse to demote Colas because he hates him, but I dismissed those posts because it made absolutely zero sense to send Colas down considering the status of the roster, their record, and Colas actually hitting. Boy, was I wrong. Even the other Getz homer WestEddy can’t justify this move…
  14. That was Jerry’s favorite player and direct quote and it sure seems like Getz tried to make it happen.
  15. It wouldn’t be so bad if he didn’t post every infrequent time that a starting pitcher has a good start when Oldy Moldy starts at catcher and has one of his rare 1-hit games. Harold is either the biggest Getz homer ever or he is Getz himself. Harold defended this awful signing of a rotting corpse from the start by Getz, so he can’t back down now. It’s quite embarrassing and I don’t think he realizes that he’s creating absolutely ZERO credibility for himself by continuing to defend Getz signing this corpse of a once good catcher.
  16. Haha, the Getz lover (or Getz himself) trying to justify this. Nonsensical. Period.
  17. I don’t think we know that just yet, but it would be nice to find out for sure by actually playing him while the Sox are going nowhere.
  18. Nastrini with the same issue. Neither guy walked many in the minors. Maybe just a case of not trusting their stuff in the majors?
  19. Who or what? I would say a glass of bourbon on the rocks is always connected to TLR at any given time.
  20. Pedro is here until the end of the season. He will be the fall guy for Jerry and Getz. The next hire will of course be someone cheap internally and with ties to the Sox.
  21. Agreed. This is exactly why I think it he was traded twice. Teams didn’t view him as that untouchable potential ace due to his lack of a fastball. He can obviously still be a very good starter though.
  22. A .490 winning percentage is a lot tougher than it sounds.
  23. I likely feel the same way as you about Ellis. However, it doesn’t make sense to dump younger players to retain horrible old vets with expiring contracts in a losing season. And this isn’t the first time Getz has dumped a younger player to retain garbage.
