  1. Another consideration is that does TDL really increase the value? Less number of teams will be involved and less control may offset values. Other teams may also be hesitant with Cease taking a step back in 2023. Everyone will find out if Cease's stuff being down is permanent or not.
  2. The Mets are now trying to get a foundation for their roster instead of bringing in expensive free agents. Their fans will not be happy, but this is the right approach. They will not trade away their prospects that are close to being ready for short term players. Once they feel they are ready to compete, they will then bring in free agents.
  3. I totally agree. It is doubtful if someone signs him any time soon.
  4. So.... how many former Royals players are left in free agency this year? ? ?
  5. Is Julio Urias even an option for teams? Isn't he a Bora's client?
  6. As usual Bora's clients are mostly unsigned. Often times, some do not sign even after spring training starts. Waiting for Snell and Montgomery to sign may not be a good idea. Most teams want players to work on certain things during spring training.
  7. I like GMs who do not respond too much on media just because of this. Just getting things done by setting goals and rarely deviate from what they need to do. Krall, Elias and Chernoff have not done what media and fans think they should do so far during this off season. All three built strong foundations for respective teams and do not seem to care for outside influences.
  8. Any GM gets influenced by fan boards and media should be fired immediately.
  9. Here is an interesting consideration: What would you prefer a trade to be? One with 2 highly rated prospects or 1 highly prospect along with 1 or 2 mid level prospects and 1 long shot? (2 top 50 versus 1 top 50, 1 top 100 and 2 others)
  10. Really bad contracts nearly always make small to mid market teams hesitant to sign any big contracts. Large revenue teams can recover quickly, but small market teams do not. Teams like Baltimore, Miami, Cincinnati, Detroit, and Arizona (was not a bad but bloated contract) took long time to get out of bad contracts. Then again, teams like Colorado did not learn from their mistake. I think the Padres situation will be interesting for a long time.
  11. One question. How often do teams trade their most recent picks within 6 months such as Langford, Bradfield or Houck?
  12. It almost seems like the Mariners are making trades for sake of making trades. Maybe, they are really going for 54% winning percentage.
  13. Looks like the Mets are signing former Orioles.
  14. If he does, he will be a must have for the White Sox, right? ?
  15. Who knows? Ray is not a factor for 2024.
  16. No question. It was a bad contract to begin with. One of these days, teams will realize that one season of dominance do not make these players worth more than they really are.
  17. Ray had UCL surgery in May of 2023, right? That probably means he will not be back until August 2024 at the earliest.
  18. I know. I am saying how useless that site really is. ?
  19. To all those who use Trade simulator website, Dylan Cease for Yennier Cano, Cole Irvin, Mike Baumann, Bryan Baker and Dean Kremer is a slight overpay for the Orioles.
  20. Their projection system is awful for any player with less than 3 years of experience.
