  1. so....maybe JR has had it with KW and/or Hahn and wants someone else to conduct the rebuild? maybe?
  2. Yankees GM Brian Cashman: Stay tuned, a lot more things could happen. — Bob Nightengale (@BNightengale)
  3. What is there to say? Looks like a 4th OF which for a normal organization wouldn't be too exciting. But somehow, we don't have one. having Shuck start 40 games in CF is a fireable offense in and of itself.
  4. so terrible free agent class, no minor leaguers to trade....I'm just kind of curious what the "go for it 2017" plan would look like.
  5. Again, my condolences. You got to know the little guy and he will always be part of you. God bless.
  6. By the time Burdi makes it to 35th & Sheilds, he'll be throwing 91-92.
  7. QUOTE (maxjusttyped @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 02:55 PM) I may be in the minority here, but I would strongly consider Betts straight up for Sale. You MAY be in the minority? I think that's a safe assumption.
  8. I don't see how you can trade any of them if we are all in for 2017.
  9. QUOTE (restinpiss @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 01:54 PM) Odor!!! Odor is by far the best player on the list, including Mazara. Thank you for your opinion Mrs. Odor. We will put it under consideration.
  10. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 01:23 PM) So Cameron says a Benintendi/Devers/1 lower level guy (or Moncada/Kopech instead for the first two), Urias/Verdugo (or Bellinger instead of Verdugo)/2 lower level guys or Gallo/Brinson/Ortiz/1 lower level guy should be enough for the Sox to want to move Sale. If Sale was traded for any of those packages, would anyone here be happy with those trades? Those might be "fair" trades, but life isn't fair and those teams NEED Sale in a bad way. The Sox do not need to trade him. The sox need to violate some GM in a major way.
  11. QUOTE (WhiteSoxLifer @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 12:41 PM) But everyone knows hes not trying to strikeout batters as much. That's the story if you believe it. You'd think he might want to dial it up to 97 against somebody like Kris Bryant though. If he was able.
  12. Boston, Houston, Dodgers, etc. are sweating it out big time right now. They will do things under duress that they will not do when the pressure is off.
  13. QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 10:09 AM) Problem is there's no way the Cubs do that deal. details details.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 29, 2016 -> 08:52 AM) I just don't think Texas can be considered a contender for either pitcher anymore. They NEED Gallo and Mazara, without prince at first his production needs to be replaced and those two can't be dealt Let 'em have Cabrera to DH.
  15. I don't think anyone can have a legit strong opinion without having seen them first hand. However, my understanding...correct me if I am wrong...Call can play CF and maybe be a plus defender in a corner position, whereas Fisher is just learning to be a LF and downside scenario he winds up a DH.
  16. What was wrong with his delivery when they drafted him?
  17. I am so deeply sorry for you and your family.
  18. Shuck is worse than Mackowiak in CF. Sale should cut up his uniform before the game.
  19. Jim Thome was great for a couple years. All-Star caliber. He should be our next manager.
  20. It amazes me that anyone thinks winning 89 games and 1 playoff game in a decade is anything even worth mentioning.
  21. I'm not going to go tit for tat. Gio Gonzalez had a higher WAR in his control years than Thome did for Sox. The Sox have been bad for over a decade now. I don't have to defend that statement. Everybody can have an opinion, that's fine.
  22. 6 playoff appearances in the last 98 years....set him straight.
  23. I never claimed to know which one was going to burn them, but it will eventually. And which one of these trades for over the hill bums has accomplished anything?
