We are stuck with LaRoche unless we deal him for another bad contract.

I'd take a sniff and see. Even though he's not that great a hitter, our DH's are historically so bad he could help out there too.

My thoughts exactly. SP strength can go to weakness in a big hurry.

Nobody's complaining, but I find it kind of surprising someone with his lack of success and injury history would be worthy of a spot on the 40-man roster.

Yes, I've mentioned it before. They're position players account for like 3 WAR if I recall.

In the draft now you have a set amount of $$ to spend. so who cares if you go over/under on any one pick in particular as long as you use all the money you are able to.
