  1. @Harold's Leg Lift <-----Id ask this guy
  2. You must be hearing the same thing i am with the Asst SD. Would be something else
  3. Why pick between taking customers on test drives in a beautiful new Jeep Wagoneer at sunset and working for the sox when for some reason you are allowed to do both. Am i right @Harold's Leg Lift?
  4. someone mentioned to me the sox have another internal candidate they are considering from the scouting side. Had him out in arizona in full uniform the last week or two coaching up the young players to see how it went. might not end up as manager, but cant imagine a scout wearing full uniform if he didnt think he was under consideration for a spot on the staff.
  5. Everyone has to work hard for their break. The best minds think creatively. some people might even give away jeeps to execs at the team to help get promoted. @Harold's Leg Lift have you ever heard of that happening?
  6. I wish I could get a jeep. To cruise lakeshore in a fresh jeep wrangler on a nice fall day. One can only hope.
  7. and on this point, if you automatically assume the good picks belong to the SD, and the struggling picks dont, I think we all know who is feeding you info
  8. you cant have it both ways. if the scouting director has bosses, so does the agm, so does the gm, so does the president. Either the scouting director is in charge of the draft, or the owner is responsible for every single decision that happens in the white sox.
  9. 2 college starters, 1 hs hitter, 1 hs pitcher 1 college hitter...by all means tell me the trend? prior to this year, it was 1 of each of the four major food groups. There are people among those 5 that the scouting director didnt push for, gonzalez isnt one of them.
  10. Guessing I know who you got your info from on this... but the person responsible for Gonzalez is very much still the scouting director.
  11. sounds like someone might be taking their jeep dealership international. congrats on the news @Harold's Leg Lift
  12. You cant expect Harold to post that his boss sucks! Of course hes gonna blame the previous guy. Youd have a better chance of him telling you Toyota is better than a Jeep!!!
  13. GG Though do the sox appreciate you repeating what you heard when you were in the draft room on this message board? I know if I ran a jeep dealership and i told my salesman what my bottom dollar price was on a brand new Wrangler with the doors welded shut (what a car) and they went out and told the customers that info, id probably be pissed!
  14. Heard he turned down a Wrangler. Told the Sox, no jeeps for me, Tesla's only. At least one of the scouts in the room said "No Jeep, No Makeup"
  15. wonder if any of the scouts in the draft room ever read this thread.
  16. sounds like there might be some baggage with cags...
  17. From my sources, seems to be some drama around Cags. Certainly doesnt sound like he has much support in the local jeep dealerships. Would not expect him to be driving to the Rate in a brand new cherokee, thats for sure.
  18. Nice to see The Wolkow Wrecker bounce back tonight and hit a big time bomb. He might take a little time, but lets remember, when colson was his age he was a junior in HS, Big G is is ahead of the curve. he might take a little time, but hitting tanks in A ball a week after turning 18 is pretty darn impressive in my book. I think he brings up an interesting point as we approach the draft here. Hope they make the right move and trust those hogmollies in the midwest. Colson, Schultz, George, go with the HS kids that were on the area codes teams. Follow the pattern of success. A lot more of it there than when they winged it with HS guys like Kath, Thompson, Kelly. Dont wanna give away my list too early, but I see some future Downtown Dominators in the midwest this year. To put it in an example some of you might understand better, If you were gonna spend all your coin on a Jeep Wagoneer, would you rather buy the one you can test drive, or have one shipped from the florida town you vacation in during the spring that youve maybe have seen once or twice?
  19. Colas has struggled for sure. Though at least better than steel walker! Not sure if you heard this story, but I think maybe keith law mentioned it once? Anyways, apparently one of the senior scouts said he would quit if the sox passed on steel! thought he was an allstar! The only way to get over that is probably to take a spin in a v8 Jeep Grand Cherokee and let it rip on the open road.
  20. Thanks for checking in on the Jeeps. Those are bad boys are in tip top shape. Sometimes thinking about those cars is like a full time job. I spend so much time with the cars, and then hours and hours reading this message board, I dont have time to do my other job! Wonder if anyone else feels that way, or if thats just me! But back to the thread at hand, anyone know who does the advance work for the sox these days? Just wanna show them some love!
  21. Is it just me or do the sox seem better prepared the last few weeks. I know Pham has helped a ton, but also wanna give some credit to the advanced scouts. Feel like they are doing a great job with the advanced scouting, getting our guys the info they need to compete. Has been nice to see things going better after the brutal start.
  22. Harold works for the sox? He always felt like more of a care salesman type to me!
  23. My bad! I guest i upset you. didnt mean to!
  24. GG thanks for sharing Harold. My sources are saying the same. They sent their top pitching guy in to go see him recently. well with a night like this i think im gonna take the soft top off the ol Jeep wrangler and go for a drive. DB
