It would have at least won you a couple games. You'd hope your catcher and SS would run into a few.

The only chance the offense had this year was Robert/Moncada/Eloy playing the vast majority of the year and actually finding their next level (Eloy and Moncada at least), and then you needed Vaughn to improve and Benintendi to have some form of a pulse. None of those things are happening. But I agree - the defense and pitching has looked better.

These guys already look like they are playing out the string.

The only one of those that actually matters is Fletcher.

Cleveland took that risk and are now paying for it.

And then when Cease's elbow starts to act up you'd all lose your mind about not moving him.

I'm willing to give Getz another year or two. He knew this was an absolute punt year, so he committed nothing to it. Which, while watching is completely awful, I understand to a degree. You have young guys either coming up this year or should be ready next year. I think offseason 2025 is the big one and a place where we see if he actually starts signing impact guys. Grifol should have been fired midseason last year. Just an absolute fucking moron.

So why did they pull Colas last night? They must really hate him.

I think him having a Kyle Hendricks career would be a very good thing for the Sox.
